Chin on the ground, one eye on the door. Colin's been here longer than most of the stock.

He'll greet you from under the bench, supervise the succulents, and generally run the place with the quiet authority of a terrier who knows every regular by scent.

There's always a warm welcome waiting at the shop, and Colin likes to think he's the one giving it. Wander in to browse the homeware, cards and curios, grab a coffee, or just come and make a new four-legged friend.

Dog-friendly, always. Pop in, say hello, and bring yours too. 🐾

Hot water on a fresh stain. We've all done it.

It feels like the obvious move. It's also the fastest way to set blood, egg, and other protein stains permanently into the weave. Cold water keeps them loose enough to actually lift out.

There are a few small habits like this worth unlearning. Little things we picked up somewhere along the way that quietly make stains harder to shift, not easier.

The gentler route takes about 60 seconds and works with the fabric rather than against it. A clay-based stain stick draws the mark out instead of grinding it deeper.

Sommières clay, grape seed oil, pocket-sized. It handles grease, wine, coffee, and fruit before they settle in for good. £3.75, by Maitre Savonitto 🌿

Citronella soap, a shark fin beach brush, a hand-thrown mug for the campfire. Summer sorted ☀

We've gathered our Summer Essentials collection onto a single, beautifully lit wooden shelf in the shop.

Each piece has been chosen for its simple utility and honest materials, from stacked glass tumblers to the dappled glaze of a ceramic pitcher.

Whether you're picking up a thoughtful gift for a summer host or everyday pieces that work as well as they look, these are made by independent makers and designed to be used and loved all season long.

Beech wood, fired clay, pressed botanicals. Every item on our light green shop shelves came from someone's hands.

We don't see this display as just a collection of homeware. It's a visual index of independent craft, and when you look closely you can see the trace of the maker in every object.

The hand-thrown ceramic mugs carry the subtle ridges of the potter's wheel. The white enamel bowls with their classic blue rims are built for decades of everyday use. Beside them, natural cold-pressed artisan soaps wrapped in simple cardboard, small potted succulents, dried botanicals, and a few of our favourite cookery books.

We love knowing the story behind every material and process in our collection.

If you're in Bristol, pop in to Willway Yard in Bedminster, BS3, and run your hands over these textures yourself.

Caramel. Honeycomb. Milk chocolate. Three ingredients in one bar of Coco Pzazz, and most people only ever taste one of them properly.

Here's why. Cold from the fridge mutes everything. Rushed bites skip straight past the layers. And a strong coffee alongside it flattens the finish before you've noticed it was there.

None of it is the chocolate's fault. It's just asking for a slightly different moment.

Let it come up to room temperature. Let the first square sit on your tongue instead of chewing it. Taste it on its own before anything else touches your palate. Three small shifts, and suddenly a £5 bar tastes like the Welsh craft it actually is.

Good chocolate deserves more than a moment. It deserves the right one. ✨

Crisp crusts, warm light, and a rack that keeps every slice standing to attention 🍞

There's a small ritual to a proper breakfast. Toast that cools quickly, stays crisp, and never sits sweating on the plate with a soggy bottom.

That's the quiet job this little piece of kitchenware has been doing for decades. Six slots, no fuss, each slice held upright and airy while you butter the first one.

It's the kind of everyday object that earns its place on the table. Simple, hard-wearing, and made to last far longer than the loaf.

Stainless Steel Toast Rack · Six Slice · £8.75
