A little bit about us 💚

Hi everyone! I’m so delighted to join this lovely community of mothers who follow all the amazing, valuable and original content by The Natural Parent magazine.

Before our son arrived, I was unsure about how I would feel calling myself his mother without being the one who gave birth to him. I was apprehensive about not feeling like his mum, about not bonding with him, about how he would feel about me; would he even love me like a mother? But the moment I held him in my arms all my fears melted away and I was left with an overwhelming sense of love, beyond anything I have felt before.

It's with this love in mind that I created my business, Kiki and Cashew. Simply designed planet-friendly baby bedlinen made from pure, undyed European flax. The name comes from my son: Kiki because we thought we were having a girl and Kiki was a name option and Cashew because that’s what he reminded me of when I saw that tiny foetus at an early scan.
