Should I persist?
Designing your own clothing isn’t just about creating something beautiful. It’s about perfecting every tiny detail.
You settle on the design, then work through sample after sample until everything is perfect.. and that can be frustrating when you’re managing production remotely, it’s not always easy! This is why launching a new style can take months… and why I refuse to rush it. ⭐️
Thank goodness for the bestselling Bardot Shirt - we already know the cut is perfect, so we can simply introduce new colours and prints.
This new silk tee, though, has been testing my patience. Somehow it’s come back with a polyester trim instead of cotton, despite all our discussions. Cotton has its own challenges, but it’s still the direction I want to take.
The body is silk, with elasticated sleeves and neckline, and I imagine it becoming that favourite piece you can wear anytime as an alternative to a shirt. It slips perfectly under a blazer for an easy smart-casual look that’s a little more relaxed than a shirt.
I’m determined to get this right. What do you think of the design so far? I’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts. ⭐️
