We'll be in Devizes tomorrow for a relaxed drop-in with support for slings and cloth nappies! We'd love you to come along and join us 💚

Tomorrow morning (Thursday 9th) Swindon and Devizes Sling Library and Chippenham Nappy Library are holding a sling and nappy meet, at the The Wyvern Club, in Devizes.

The meet is free to attend, and you can get support choosing and using slings and/or cloth nappies.

There will also be scales available to weigh your baby, if you wish to do so.

Hello 3 complete lovely kits! These are for babies around 3 months until they are potty trained. Newborns need slightly smaller nappies, but don't worry, newborn kits will be coming soon!

🚿 Washing Reusable Nappies — It’s Easier (and Cleaner!) Than You Think 💚

One of the biggest worries people have about reusables is… washing.
“How do you deal with the poo?”
“Won’t it ruin my washing machine?”
“Isn’t it unhygienic?”
“Won’t I be doing laundry all the time?”

Let’s set the record straight 👇

💩 Dealing with poo
If your baby is exclusively breastfed, the poo is water-soluble — you can put nappies straight in the machine.
Once solids are introduced, simply tip or rinse solids into the loo first. Many parents use a liner to make this even easier.

🧼 Your washing machine is safe
Washing nappies is no different to washing other soiled laundry — think baby sick, muddy football kits, or pet bedding. Modern machines are designed to handle it all.

🦠 It’s hygienic
A proper wash routine with detergent at the right temperature leaves nappies fresh and clean. No lingering smells, no bacteria — just ready to use again.

⏱ Not a huge time drain
You’ll usually do 2–3 extra washes a week. That’s it. The machine does the work while you get on with your day.

Reusable nappies are modern, simple, and nothing to fear — once you’ve tried washing them, you’ll wonder why you ever worried!
