Crochet Lessons

I’m now able to begin offering Crochet Lessons in small groups of 2 at my studio at Cockenzie House and Gardens, East Lothian. These are complete beginners’ classes and not suitable for those who can already crochet to some degree. They are also right handed lessons (apologies, I’m unable to teach left handed) and will be using American terminology although I can also provide all instructions in UK terms if required for future reference once the course has been completed.)

What you’ll learn:
Week 1 – Slip Knot, Chain and Single Crochet
Week 2 – Single Crochet Refresher and Double Crochet
Week 3 – Working in the Round.
Week 4 – We’ll make a coaster together.

Each class will last approximately 1 hour and you will also be provided with a pack containing written instructions, a crochet hook and 2 balls of wool (one to practise with and the other to create your coaster from).

Current available dates are:

Tuesdays 1 – 2pm (beginning 22nd November, ending 13th December)
Thursdays 7 – 8pm (beginning 24th November, ending 15th December)

The total cost of the 4 week course and beginners pack is £50 per person.

I called this one 'Rock Pool' but my husband says it reminds him of pond scum. Doesn't quite have the same appeal 🥴 Which one would you agree with? Does it need a new name? Xx

Apologies for being so quiet as of late but I can now share my news. I've just finished decorating and moving into a little studio space dedicated to dyeing yarn. With only a couple of hiccups along the way I now feel excited to get back to doing what I love and playing with some colour! 🥰

New Yarn Bases have just arrived. Can't wait to play with them! One is a beautiful lace weight and the other is a 4 ply which has stellina in it which I absolutely love! 💕

I always offer a free ball winding service and love seeing how my yarns look when caked as opposed to in their original skeins. Love this one (Stormy Reflections) 💕
