What a fantastic start to the weekend!
Blue sky, warmth, a walk along the beach at Allonby.

So much space, so tranquil and quiet. A lovely refreshing breeze that was certainly not too kind with the hair but was so welcome.

The tide was as far out as possible and the beautiful view of Scotland in the distance was absolutely stunning. It was so far out, I couldn't hear the swish of waves as they ebbed and flowed.

It felt as though time stood still and there was a complete silence for what seemed like ages.

It was an amazing experience! Definitely a magical, not something that happens often thing that was so calming and totally peaceful

The call of a lone seagull broke the spell and reality returned.

And so, I wonder what tomorrow will bring?

Can't wait to find out.

When you meet up with two of the most amazing people who have wonderful indie businesses, Cauldrons Smelt and Tiller's Tarot, eat beautiful food at Eternal at Headford Court and enjoy the beauty that Mother Nature shares and it's right on your doorstep, you just know that today has been a bit brilliant.

It's Friday already.
We have sunshine at last and it's definitely getting warmer now we are half way through April.

Anyway, the writing workshops are going well and there's a choice of two sessions.

Morning 10 until 12
Evening 6.30 until 8.30.

The next one runs on April 27th and if you want to come along and get creative in a small supportive, friendly group in the most amazing venue that is 41 Market Place in Cockermouth Town, just get in touch.

When you get an opportunity for a girlie lunch, good conversation and cake, it would be rude not to accept it.

And so, a few hours of chilling out with Jo Tiller, a walk with the beautiful freshly groomed Yum yum by Laura from Shampoochies and an impromptu photo of a decorated postbox, all is good in my life!

Fab food, excellent company, and grateful for the warmth and sunshine that has graced our lovely Cockermouth Town today.

When you still treat a Wednesday as a day off and live your best life for a full day...

Haircut at Wendy's in Cockermouth Town with much merriment, talk of pixie cuts and being too young to remember?, giggles over ears and hairspray and leaving feeling on top of the world!

A bit of car care this afternoon with some banging tunes playing from the radio and an impromptu singsong.
Good job I wasn't near anyone.
I love singing but I do struggle to hold a tune.

And to top it all off, the most amazing, beautifully cooked and presented three course meal from the magnificent 41 Market Place with my lovely fella Brian Stephenson.

It was just a little bit of luxury at such amazing prices

Prawns and queen scallops for himself and the best freshly prepared and cooked chicken Kiev for me.

A shared starter and sweet, a couple of drinkies and ta dah!

A meal that was just perfect and service from Nikky that made a perfect evening so super special.

If you only go out once in a blue moon for a slap up meal, I would honestly say that this is the place to go.

We will definitely be back.

And now, it's PJ's, a cuppa and a film to finish off a fabulous day from start to finish.

When you have a Monday morning that exceeds all expectations, you just cannot help but be so grateful to everyone who is making this a fantastic event.

Today it was Workshop number 4 hosted in the beautiful restaurant that is 41 Market Place in Cockermouth Town and overseen by yours truly.

More new people today and we have had the most amazing time filled with laughter, writing, friendship, a bit more writing, some reading shenanigans, focus and a few sighs and other such wonderful word related stuff.

The feedback is astonishing and I feel so humbled and fortunate to be a part of something so unique, relaxing and supportive.

How does it get any better than this?

And so, it's time to get the dates out for Workshop number 5.

There are day and evening sessions now and as always, booking is essential.

It's actually stopped raining and it's been a fantastic day so far.
Rain certainly makes the focus different and it's been a day of cooking, baking and getting creative in the kitchen.

Tomorrow morning is another creative morning and it doesn't matter if it's raining, snowing or whatever Mother Nature decides to give us.

It's time for a Creative Writing Workshop with yours truly in the fantastic venue that is 41 Market Place.

Ten until twelve and don't forget to bring a pen, paper and an open mind.

What a fabulous morning has been had by all who took part in the wonderful Creative Writing Workshop with The Cumbrian Wordsmith in Cockermouth Town.

Two hours of just being in the moment.
Everyone focused on all things wordy, writing and suchlike stuff.
Laughter and sharing, holding space and encouragement by the bucketful and it certainly was full of good stuff, kindness and support.

Our new venue is amazing and it certainly was an inspirational place to be.

The beautiful, quaint and cosy restaurant 41 Market Place was the perfect venue and the refreshments and welcoming atmosphere added much more to the workshop.

How does it get any better than this?

Well, that question is yet to be answered.
It might be answered next week when the next workshop is running.

Thanks to everyone who made this morning so wonderful.
I can't wait to do it all over again next week and maybe I will remember to get a few photos of you all busy!

The venue is the amazing space that is 41 Market Place and we start the writing shenanigans at ten o'clock sharp.

There are still a few places available so if you fancy a go at something unique, relaxed and filled with laughter and fun, just drop in.

I know you will definitely enjoy two whole hours of time just for you that's guaranteed to make you smile.
