A little break before the big day... 🤍

I've been a little quiet on here lately, and if I'm honest, life has been a whirlwind! Between moving house, wedding preparations, the kids being off for the holidays, and our family fundraiser, there just haven't been enough hours in the day.

With our wedding now just around the corner, I'm taking a short step back to focus on soaking up these special moments and getting everything ready for the big day. ✨

Thank you for all your continued support and patience while I've been a little absent. It never goes unnoticed.
But don't worry... when I'm back the week of 14th September, it's all systems go! 🙌

I've got lots of exciting newness planned, a workspace transformation to share, fresh content, and you'll probably be seeing a lot more of me too! 🤭

For now, I'm off to become a wife! 💍🤍

On Sunday, I had the honour of creating these bright, colourful fundraiser shirts for my uncle's Macmillan fundraiser. Seeing a sea of volunteers wearing them, all united for such an incredible cause, was something I'll never forget.

Each shirt carried his face, but they represented so much more - love, strength, community, and people coming together to support a charity that means so much to our family.

Thank you to everyone who took part, donated, volunteered, and wore these shirts with pride. It was a privilege to play a small part in such a special day. 💚

The last few weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind...
Between a family holiday, moving house, and surviving the six-week holidays, social media has definitely taken a back seat. 🙈

While I've been a little quieter online, Dakins Designs hasn't gone anywhere. I've still been creating behind the scenes, juggling business, family life and wedding planning all at the same time! Thank you for sticking around while life has been life-ing. ❤️

I'm finally starting to find my feet again and can't wait to get back to sharing more of the journey with you.

I'm looking for raffle prizes if anyone of my friends or small business friends want to help please let me know. More information below written by my cousin Larna Jane Dakin.

As many of you know, my dad, Dave, is living with terminal cancer.

Throughout everything he has faced, he has never asked for much and very rarely complained. He has fought this cruel illness with incredible strength, courage and a smile on his face, even on the hardest days.

The one thing he has asked for is that, instead of doing something for him, we raise money for the Nightingale Macmillan Unit at Royal Derby Hospital.

During the six weeks Dad spent there, the care, compassion and dignity they gave him meant more to us than words can ever express. They made one of the hardest times in our lives that little bit easier, and we’ll never be able to thank them enough.

So we’re holding a Sunday Funday – a day for family, friends and the local community to come together, make memories, have fun, and raise as much money as possible for this incredible unit in Dad’s honour.

🕑 2:00pm – 5:00pm
📍 Chaddesden Park Social Club, 391 Nottingham Road, Chaddesden, DE21 6PD

There’ll be something for everyone, including cake sales, face painting, a teddy name competition, a darts competition, raffles, games and much more. It’s going to be a happy day of making memories and all are welcome.

If anyone is able to volunteer, donate raffle prizes, cakes or anything else to help make the day a success, we would be so grateful. Every single penny raised will go directly to the Nightingale Macmillan Unit to help them continue supporting other families when they need it most.

Please come along, bring your family and friends, and help us give something back to the people who gave so much to Dad.
