Bridal Alterations is an incredibly specialised area of dressmaking, and I have been blessed to be able to work in this industry for nearly 30 years in both the design and the alteration of gorgeous wedding gowns. I am pleased to offer the fitting of your beautiful bridal gown in the comfort of your own home, along with expert advice on 'how to be a bride', yes, those all important details of how

to stand, how to sit, how to hold your flowers, bathroom duties... well let's just say it's close friends and relatives only here! I work exclusively with brides but I am happy to recommend professionals who can alter your maids and Mother of the Bride outfits. I operate in 20 mile radius of a cute little Derbyshire Village called Doveridge, covering Stafford, Derby and surrounding villages, including Uttoxeter, Tutbury, Ashbourne, Sudbury, Cannock, Rolleston on Dove. Many gowns bought will usually need altering in some way, usually the hem and the bodice will need adjustment in some way, some may need a complete overhaul, sometimes you just need the right seamstress. Prices start from £95.00 for basic hems including bustles (those handy little pick up points to help you dance the night away). For the back of a wedding gown they are really not acceptable.

Elastic by its very nature is designed to stretch, hence why for something as structured and beautiful as a wedding dress nothing beats proper rouleaux loops for style, elegance and support.

I hand make all mine using a range of fabrics to match the gown.
