A little confession...

Running a crochet business means constantly worrying you'll run out of supplies...

So when I couldn't remember if I'd ordered tartan ribbon, I did the sensible thing and ordered another reel.

Turns out I had already ordered it.
And apparently, I don't trust Past Elle to do her job. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€£

The good news is my thistles will be wrapped in tartan ribbon until approximately 2047. πŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ ΏπŸ˜‚πŸ§Ά

Bubble requested a dinosaur drawing, and despite my artistic abilities being firmly in the crochet department, I gave it my best shot! πŸ¦–πŸ˜‚

Safe to say she had a lovely day, and seeing her little face light up makes every minute worth it. πŸ’™
Now it's time for me to swap the colouring pencils for a crochet hook and get back to the waiting list! 🧢✨

A bit of Billy Joel has helped me along today, with Piano Man being the soundtrack to most of the crocheting, assembling and wrapping. 🎢

Now, seeing as I can happily go from Billy Joel to a bit of country, 90s classics, rock, pop, or pretty much anything in between... I need some new music recommendations!

This large order is finally complete and ready to head off to its new home.

Just to avoid any confusion, these were ordered as separate bouquets - a bouquet of thistles and a bouquet of sunflowers with baby's breath and foliage. However, before packaging them up, curiosity got the better of me and I just had to see what they looked like together. 😍

I have to admit, they make quite the statement when combined! The bright sunshine yellow alongside the Scottish thistles is a colour combination I didn't know I needed. πŸ’›πŸ’œ

A huge thank you to my lovely customer for their patience while I worked through this order.

As a little update, my waiting list is now closed while I focus on completing current orders. I don't want to keep extending wait times and would rather give each order the time and attention it deserves. 🧢❀️

To my lovely regular followers... you might have noticed I've been a little quieter than usual. And to any new followers who have recently joined me, I promise this isn't normally how I am! 🀍

I'm usually the one chatting away in the comments, replying to messages, sharing little snippets of our days and having a good old chin wag (I do love a blether! β˜•πŸ§Ά).

It's just been one of those weeks with family commitments, a very full waiting list, and life generally keeping me on my toes. Please know that I see all of your messages, comments and support, and I'm so incredibly grateful for every single one of you.

Well... I don't quite know what has happened, but my Messenger has absolutely blown up over the last few days – even more than usual! πŸ₯ΉπŸ’œ

I am genuinely so grateful for every message, enquiry, comment, share and order. The support for Crochet by Elle continues to leave me completely overwhelmed (in the very best way) and a little bit in shock too.

As much as I would love to say yes to everyone, I need to be realistic and make sure I can give each order the time, care and attention it deserves. Because of this, I won't be accepting any new orders for the time being while I work through more of my current waiting list.

I know a few of you were waiting for the answer to the all-important question...

πŸ₯ The final thistle count before kick-off was... 18! Eighteen triple thistles. Which adds up to 108 individual pieces crocheted πŸ’œπŸͺ»πŸŒΏ

That should make a small dent in my thistle waiting list 🀭

(Due to family circumstances I am going to be quieter than usual on my page, rest assured I'm still working hard in the background).

I had to stop crocheting thistles for a little while tonight because counting stitches started feeling suspiciously like counting sheep. πŸ˜΄πŸ’€

For now, it's Irn-Bru, Sour Patch Kids and Scotland on the telly. I'll do a proper thistle count later after a few zzz's and can trust my maths again! 🀭
