I’ve spent nearly all day prepping a bear. Deciding where to place the pieces has been quite baffling, trying to figure out where to place the pattern pieces to show off the fabric and add every little detail. I don’t care how long it takes sometimes I can take a hour to decide, but other times it takes much longer. I just hope I’ve cracked it.
I’ll be cutting them out tonight.

This lovely memory bear was created using a much loved husbands shirts.
I used 3 of George’s shirts to make the bear incorporating the collar and button placket.
I was also asked to embroider George’s name on the footpad in his favourite colour 💙
I hope it will bring a lot of comfort 💙

My customer wanted a keepsake bear making for 2 of her colleagues who were leaving their teaching jobs to set up a nursery.
I was given the two uniforms from the primary school where they had been teaching in for the last 20 years and the new nursery uniform.
It was gifted to them yesterday as a leaving present and they loved it 🥰
