Iona knitwear

Iona knitwear Welcome to Iona - a fashion brand created to fit your lifestyle with respect for the environment . And so does the story of Iona.

We design and produce high quality knitwear for adults, children&home, made ethically using only natural fibers which we source locally. Once upon a time, in a faraway land… This is how the stories usually begin. The idea of this special place reaches back to my childhood; as a child I spent long hours creating imagined lands full of nature whilst painting, drawing and doing all sorts of crafts. T

his big passion for painting and art developed my own way to express my inner world, my way, much better than using words. My love of the natural world turned into a great desire to live life as close to nature as possible. Desire to produce everyday items being both beautiful and environmentally friendly, toys for children that stimulate their development and imagination through simple and inspiring design as well as reaching to the traditional method of crafting and produce like hand knitting, crochet, hand sewing and using only natural materials and tools. My dream and aim is, in this world of plastic and mass production of identical items, to allow people to get unique products that have a soul, whether big or small pieces of art, made especially for them and with them in mind.

Apologies for radio silence in September, I have been away on an adventure of a lifetime. This Camper has been home, as we drove through Europe (with both dogs!), visiting family, attending weddings and hunting for local yarn shops. 8 countries, 3 weeks, this trip has indeed been life-changing.

I will share more memories in the coming weeks, and exciting ideas and projects that were born on the road, but for now I need to learn the static way of life again
