It all starts with a rip...

When you have eight yards of cloth to cut down to the correct size, it is actually easier and quicker to rip the cloth.

A lot of people find this strange, as they don't understand how it will rip in a straight line.

Well, with tartan being 100% pure wool and woven to an extremely high standard, the way it is woven means it will rip in a straight line.

Looser woven fabrics, or cheaper fabrics, won't rip in a straight line or won't rip at all.

Green and Navy are a staple in Tartan, and you can see why.

Even though it is simple in design, this tartan comes together beautifully as a kilt.

Understated, classic, and timeless.

These two kilts are making their way to a father and son, where I am sure they will have lots of adventures and take part in making lots of amazing memories.

It has taken a while (6 years to be exact), but this kilt has finally been made and brought to life.

This tartan was chosen as it is something different. Not colours you see every day, or or typically associate with tartan. Something that can be worn traditionally but also alternatively.

They way it has been pleated is also not typical. Picking alternate pleats of the purple stripe and the grey block really helps make this kilt indevidual.

I can't wait to see this being worn out in the wild.

I am so proud of my friend Gillal, who just graduated from his Masters in Nursing with a distinction 🤗🎉 but I am so honoured that he chose to wear the kilt that I made him for his special day.

He truly looked the part, and definitely stood out.
I can't wait to see what the next chapter holds for him.

This tartan really does live up to its name...

With its purple hues, pops of pink and yellow, slate blue and a touch of green.

You can really imagine being deep in the heart of the Highlands, surrounded by the glorious mountains that are covered in multitudes of Heather, Ferns, and Bracken.

With the dramatic clouds rolling down the peaks to the atmospheric mist rising over the low grounds.

This non matching tartan really is something, and it makes a beautiful kilt.

This tartan reminds me of wild flowers and herbs, with the cornflower blue, sage green, wild garlic white, and bronze fennel bronze.

It really did make a stunning kilt, and it is something that no-one else will have.
