BIOGRAPHY-
RAZOR SHARP DEATH BLIZZARD
Uncompromising, Political, Loud; the perfect way to describe Scotland’s Razor Sharp Death Blizzard! Forged from the molten steel remnants of two of Scotland’s filthiest bands; Ridgeback and Swellbellys, both of whom in their respective genres achieved both national and international success, RSDB formed in 2014. The band draws upon the ferocious vocal talents of Jamie Clark (Ridgeback/Ninth Circle) the violent wall of noise guitarist Daz McSwell (Swellbellys/Issues Of Morality) low end rumbler Ross Corbett (Ninth Life/Detached) and the relentless percussion of Liam Roberts (Somatic Fusion/Ninth Life/Detached). Since releasing their first EP “Riot, Revolt, Revolution” themselves in 2015, the band have been busy making a name for themselves on the UK, Irish and European live circuit, with their ferocious shows and politically charged shards of punk hate. In January 2016 the band returned to the studio to work with producer Chris Fielding at Skyhammer Studios in England to record their first record; “You Will Burn”. Nine blasts of furious, nihilistic noise that prises its way between Sick Of It All and Whores like an unwelcome dinner guest. 2017 through to 2019 saw the band play numerous shows on mainland Europe, across the U.K. During the winter of 2019/2020 RSDB entered Foel Studio in Wales with Chris Fielding again at the helm to record, produce, mix and master the follow up to “You Will Burn”. The album was released in July 2020 to critical acclaim. With live dates in 2020/2021 going to sh*t we can only wait for when RSDB return to Ireland, mainland Europe and across the UK to promote their album “The World Is F**ked”. Journalists across the planet are spitting wads of phlegmy praise at them where RSDB have come to spew songs of apoplectic rage upon blood thirsty extreme music fans across the world. Sadly we are not able to make it down to TUCKSTOCK 2026 tomorrow.
This morning our bass player Ross’s 4 month old son was blue lighted to hospital suffering from breathing difficulties. The good news is the wee man is now home with Ross and Saf. Ross needs to be there with them both until Griffin is in the clear, fighting fit and back to s**ting for Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 We were all looking forward to coming back down to The Tap and Tumbler and catching up with you all but unfortunately it will have to be another time. Love to you all, and big thanks to Marc Walsh for everything you do. RSDB ❤️
