Illustrating for 30 hours over 4 days…here’s how I really feel about it-
I was actually so buzzing. I love what I do and was genuinely so excited to be at each wedding. I have this many bookings?!
However-
That much concentration, that much continual drawing my wrist was doing- there had to be a breaking point.
The day afterwards I actually felt like a zombie. I ached from looking over a desk for such long periods at a time and was so exhausted.
Over each day my focus was preserving energy for the upcoming booking, so the daily housework & admin had to wait.
Which then led to a day of overwhelm trying to get myself caught up with everything. But my body was just craving a break!
Lesson? Do not do so many bookings back to back! As much as I loved every single day it all catches up with you.
Your public facing all day, and its your business your representing, so you need to be ON! For an introvert (tiny part extrovert?!) like me I am fine on the day but need to then have my time to switch off and re-center.
Having one week on the odd occasion like this is absolutely doable, but doing this week after week is just not sustainable in the long run!
As always, quality over quantity 🫶🏼
