As we approach our 3rd birthday, we wanted to share the story behind StableSkin and how the Rural collection came to life.
It started with a simple idea: create a jacket that truly works for real life in everyday weather. Long days on the yard, wet dog walks and show days.
Our original StableSkin jackets were designed with purpose in every detail. An oversized hood to fit over a riding hat (or your everyday cap), hidden side zips and leg straps to keep you protected in the saddle, but just as comfortable worn casually.
But we knew we could develop this into a jacket for everyone, no matter the discipline.
That’s where the Rural Range began. A more everyday essential. Warm fleece, clean design and a unisex fit. Something that felt just as at home on the farm as it did in the supermarket.
And now, it’s evolved again.
The Rural – Country Edition. Our lightest jacket yet, designed for those in between seasons or for layering up. Featuring a cinched waist, removable hood, subtle patch logo and our tweed inspired lining.
Recently introduced in a gilet version. The same signature details, in a lighter more versatile form.
We’re continuing to develop new ideas behind the scenes and we can’t wait to share what’s coming next.
