This was something I had wanted to do for a long time. The wool is home spun and dyed, to match my wallpaper 😉
The wool is a chunky weight, knit on 5mm needles so didn't take that long to do each sample square, then the black borders are crocheted before being sewn together. Finally I knit a 12cm border and sewed it in place.

I love this wee set! It knitted up really well and although it is a random dyed wool, it wasn't too difficult to match up the colours and stripes.

I've been knitting these hoodies through the year - they make excellent Christmas presents and are fab for a cold day on the beach too!

I always use machine washable yarns for kids knitting - what mum has time for hand-washing woollens?🙃

I've been busy sewing Christmas table runners. They are made from a heatproof quilted fabric with applique Christmas trees along the length.
I've made a few in traditional Christmas colours of reds and greens, and if I've time before Christmas I might do some gold and silver ones.
These runners are approximately 14" x 48" (average length of a dining table) and I might also make table mats to match them.

Daisy drew round Miss Rabbit to give me an idea of the size, and asked for a pink and blue coat and hat . . .

Daisy wanted a new outfit for her Cabbage Patch Doll . I had some lovely lime green easycare wool left over from another project, and a quiet evening. . .
I didn't have a pattern, so just guesstimated and it turned out beautifully! I used a bit of moss stitch for variety. Daisy was thrilled🥰
