Vegetable-tanned leather is generally considered a durable and long-lasting material, known for its strength and ability to develop a unique patina over time. There are no chemical materials in this leather. The vegetable tanning process is generally considered more environmentally friendly than chrome tanning, as it uses natural tannins rather than harsh chemicals. We use Stainless Steel hardware only. Stainless steel does not rust because it contains a significant amount of chromium, which reacts with oxygen in the air to form a thin, protective oxide layer on the surface that prevents further corrosion. Stainless steel is resistant to water, making it suitable for everyday wear, it is generally considered hypoallergenic, making it a good option for people with sensitive skin or allergies to other metals.
