I discovered cosplay nearly six years ago when I went to my very first con with my best friend. Both of us went in cosplay and were very excited. When I found out that a lot of people made their cosplays I went home after the con and told my grandma (who had made my cosplays for me that weekend) that she needed to teach me to sew. My grandma then eagerly bought me a sewing machine and we got going
on my cosplay list. I am currently on my third sewing machine and have the firm belief that you never stop learning, there is always something new to learn no matter how good you are! I love that cosplay gives you a challenge. With the exception of some of the Disney dresses, there very few patterns, although that is now changing. Because of this I either adapt a pattern or make my own. My hardest cosplay to date was Sarah from the Labyrinth which was made for the South West Championships in which I had qualified for as Elsa. I am really proud of this cosplay and want to wear it as much as possible but it is very delicate so have to be selective of where I wear it. Anyone will tell you that I am the biggest geek ever especially if it is ninja turtle related or Legend of Zelda related! I currently have two Princess Zelda cosplays, one of which won me a prize in London! For ninja turtles I am on my second version of my fem Raphie cosplay. I also have plans for a lot of cosplays from the TMNT franchise from the various reincarnations from the first cartoon to the new IDW comics. Along with my cosplay I also like to perform on stage. I sing for fun and am often working on parodies which I will upload more to my Youtube channel someday! It’s fun to become a character and I love nothing more than to make people smile with my antics. Especially as Harley Quinn!!
