💖 Throwback to making the 𝙆𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙬!✨

With all the ber months ahead, I thought I’d pop in and share the texture of this cosy throw. It’s perfect for the colder months when all you want to do is cosy up indoors! 🥰

It’s also such a fun project for playing with colour and a great way to use up those yarn scraps. 💛

The edging is on, I’ve made it to the blocking stage, and it finally has a name… say hello to the 𝐋𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐲 𝐋𝐨𝐭𝐮𝐬 𝐖𝐫𝐚𝐩! 🥳🌸✨

The lace texture actually reminded me of little flower petals as I was working on it, which inspired the name. 🪷🥰

I can’t wait to share this one with you. The tester call is just around the corner, so keep your eyes peeled! 👀✨

💖 Where did August go?! ✨

This month has absolutely flown by! It’s been a busy one, and I’m ending it with a well needed break in Brighton to catch up with friends and enjoy a change of scenery. 🌊✨

September is looking to be a busy and exciting month too…

Here’s a little peek at a 𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙮 𝙨𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙧𝙚 I’ve been working on! ✨

It took a few attempts to get it right. Swipe to the end to see my first attempt, there were far too many stitches which left the square looking a bit wavery. Fast forward two more attempts and I’m finally happy with this version. What do you think? 🤔

I’m now thinking of turning this idea into a throw but the big question is: 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙖𝙧𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙄 𝙪𝙨𝙚?

🌈 A colourful mix of lots of shades? 🤍 Keep it simple with one solid colour? 🧶 Mix in some colour-changing yarn? 🎨 Or something completely different?

Inspired by the changing colours and textures of a sunset, this four-part CAL is all about capturing that peaceful feeling of watching the sun go down — a chance to pause, breathe and simply enjoy making.

One of the things I love most about crochet is the calm it brings. It’s so therapeutic to switch off and get lost in the rhythm of the stitches, so I wanted this shawl to give you that same feeling. The stitches are 𝙢𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚, 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙭𝙞𝙣𝙜 — it’s a lovely project whether you’re new to crochet or have been crocheting for years. ✨

Each week, you’ll add a new texture before finishing with a pretty edging in the final week. And you can make it completely your own with your favourite colours — soft and neutral, bright and bold, or something in between. 🌈

Happy Monday! 🧶✨ The end is in sight!

I’ve made a little more progress on my new shawl design, and it’s almost time to start on the edging! I still have a few step-by-step photos to take and the final part of the pattern to write up, but it’s all slowly coming together. 💕
