πŸ’– Throwback to making the bobble border on the π™‡π™€π™«π™šπ™π™šπ™–π™§π™© 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙀𝙬. πŸ’–

This design was first released 5 years ago, and it’s still one of my favourites! ✨

I’ve made the Loveheart Throw in several colours over the years, but this pretty pink version has to be my favourite. With simple stitches, puff-stitch hearts, and the cutest bobble border, it’s a relaxing project to crochet and makes such a thoughtful handmade gift. πŸ’

A little more progress on my π˜Όπ™œπ™£π™šπ™¨ π™Žπ™π™–π™¬π™‘ today. ✨

I’m swatching a few new design ideas while sneaking in some extra rows on this shawl whenever I can. I’m absolutely loving how this colourway is working up. The deep blues are so rich and beautiful - I can’t wait to see how the lighter shades unfold as this grows. πŸ’™πŸ©΅πŸ€

What are you working on today? I’d love to hear what’s on your hook or needles! 🧢

πŸ’– Where do you find your inspiration?

For me, inspiration often comes from nature and special places I’ve visited. Sometimes it’s so special that it just has to become a crochet design. ✨

One of my favourite sources of inspiration was finally visiting Niagara Falls last October (swipe to see some photos!). 🌊 It was something I'd dreamed about visiting since I was a kid, and seeing it in person was even more magical than I'd ever imagined. πŸ₯ΊπŸ€©

Of course, I couldn't resist turning that experience into a crochet design, and that's when the π™’π™–π™©π™šπ™§π™›π™–π™‘π™‘ 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙀𝙬 was created. πŸ’™

I'd love to know what inspires you. Is it nature, travel, colours, memories, other makers, or something completely unexpected? Share in the comments! πŸ‘‡

I’m currently at the joining stage and using my favourite flat slip stitch method to bring all the squares together. I love this stage when the blanket really starts to come to life! ✨

Once the joining is finished, I just have the border to add, along with all the final tweaks of photo editing, video tutorial editing (sneak peek in my stories), and the yarn maths for the final yardages. πŸ§ΆπŸ“Έ

If everything stays on track, I’ll be looking for testers this Friday πŸ‘€, which is always an exciting stage in the design process!

Who else loves the moment when a pile of granny squares finally starts looking like an actual blanket? ✨

Hello June! β˜€οΈπŸ’–

May was such a busy month here! My crochet hook barely got a break with granny squares on repeat for a brand new throw design, lots of Ailsa Scarves being whipped up, and a new Agnes Shawl joining my ever growing WIP pile. Throw in a few birthday celebrations and plenty of sunny days, and it’s been a lovely (and very busy) month! 😎

June is shaping up to be just as full. I’ve been getting everything ready for a tester call for my new granny square throw, which is coming very soon, and I’ve got a few new ideas keeping me busy behind the scenes too. ✨ Plus, I’m looking forward to a little trip to Brighton to catch up with friends, which will be a nice change of scenery.

How about you? Do you have anything exciting planned for June, or are you hoping for a quieter month? πŸ’–πŸ§Άβ˜€οΈ

✨ Throwback to the π™ƒπ™–π™§π™§π™žπ™¨ 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙀𝙬! ✨

Did you know this design was inspired by the Isle of Lewis & Harris, off the north west coast of Scotland? πŸ”οΈ

I came across some photos from my trip there three years ago and couldn’t resist sharing them with you today. Swipe through to see the rugged landscapes, ancient standing stones, and even a little behind-the-scenes glimpse of Harris Tweed being made. ✨

Not long after this trip, I released the Harris Throw pattern - a design inspired by beautiful texture. Featuring an easy one-row repeat, it’s the perfect project to slow down and unwind with.
