It’s been an awfully long time since I’ve interacted with any of my platforms - I found myself in a bit of a slump over the Christmas period, but I’m back to it now with lots of passion for my creativity!

I am incredibly proud of how well these turned out, and even more proud of the fact that all the fabric used for this project was recycled from old materials and given new life!

Hi there! I’m Emily, the heart and hands behind Born Again Threads, based in Gloucester, UK 🇬🇧
I'm 22 and have loved sewing and creating for as long as I remember. I first discovered the world of sewing at school, and I got my first sewing machine for Christmas as a teenager and ever since, I’ve loved turning fabrics (especially the forgotten ones) into something beautiful and useful.

At Born Again Threads, I work only with sustainable or recycled materials: scraps, preloved fabrics, even unwanted items like clothes and bedding—all given new life in handmade home decor, fashion accessories and more. My mission is to help reduce the thousands of tonnes of textile waste generated yearly in the UK.

With every piece I make, I hope to slow down the fashion cycle, inspire thoughtful consumption, and show that there’s beauty (and even luxury) in what others may see as old or unwanted. Thanks for visiting - welcome to my small way of making a big difference. 💫
