Welcome to Flights of Fantasy (www.flights-of-fantasy.com) flights-of-fantasy is a textile based business. I teach both wetfelting and basket making.

I make beautiful flower corsages and brooches, necklaces, bracelets, bags and scarves as well as decorative items for the home and biodegradable urns for cremation ashes. I also use upcycled/recycled and vintage fabrics to create coiled fabric baskets. I love working with customers to create something special and personal. Another event for your calendar - this time at the Riverhouse Barn gallery in Walton on Thames. The open evening is Tuesday 8th September 6-8pm and then work will be on show from Wednesday 9th to Sunday 13th -10am-4p.
The Oxshott and Cobham Art and Crafts group will be exhibiting their work for just under a week, so put something in your diary now and pop along with a friend (or on your own) and maybe even take in a stroll along the Thames?
This lovely gallery has an equally great cafeteria with CAKE but if you aren't a cake-lover, there are two very good pubs on the doorstep!

Time is marching on, although with these high temperatures, I do feel it is moving very slowly in this household!
Meanwhile, plans are well on their way for my first selling event of the year - a new one for me: Horton Arts Centre, near Epsom. I've never been there before, so looking forward to meeting other craftspeople (and visitors of course) who I've not come across before.
Hope you can join us - masses of parking on site and in nearby roads and a bus route passes the gates, I am told.

I've rather overlooked promotion and listings of my folksy shop in recent months. A combination of exceedingly hot weather sapping my energy, and preparations for two up-coming exhibitions have had me pre-occupied!

I'll be among the artists and craftspeople exhibiting in Esher over the bank holiday weekendin the lovely Bluehouse Artspace.
