There was a lot of work to get this dress to where we wanted it to be, but what was amazing, is that the bride knew exactly what she wanted, which helped me immensely
Believe it or not this dress was originally champagne, so to change the colour I changed the underskirt from champagne to white, this dress also had a lot more Folume, so it looked more like a mermaid dress, but by removing the tuile from the underskirt, we made the dress more a-line but also accentuateing the bride’s gorgeous hourglass figure.
I ofcourse took the dress up, by removing the lace cutting the length to size and relating the lace back on the dress. We also added an extra 52 buttons going all the way down the train. Finally I fitted the dress to the brides size and added additional lace to the side seams, created a modest panel and a beautiful diamonte belt.
This dress has been a challenge but I loved every minute of it, and seeing the end result being worn by a dear friend is a highlight in my JCC career
Thank you for choosing me to alter your gown you looked gorgeous
