EXPERIENCED SEWING MACHINIST - HULL
Gostelows, a highly respected Leather and Vinyl/PVC company based in Hull, are looking for 2 experienced sewing machinists.
The successful candidate will have:
• Experience with Industrial Sewing Machines:
• Heavy industrial cylinder arm sewing machine.
• Flatbed machine.
• Ability to install bobbins, needles and guide plates to accommodate different material types.
• Competent in fixing minor problems related to stitching and use mechanical abilities to adjust controls that regulate speed and function of machines.
• A confident team player mentality.
• The ability to work on their own initiative.
• Willing to take on new challenges.
• A good eye for detail.
• Good spoken English is essential.
Duties will include:
• To produce high quality sewn, finished items by following job sheets and instructions that typically change with each project.
• Read and understand job sheets before work is carried out
• Operate on different stations as and when required.
• Keeping your workstation and surrounding area clean, tidy and safe at all times.
Rate of pay is £9.50 -£12.00 per hour for the right candidate depending on experience.
Hours of work are: 37.5 hrs per week. 8am to 4.30pm Monday – Thursday and 8am to 2pm on Fridays with 30mins for lunch and two 15mins break.
Overtime may be required, on occasions, at short notice so you must be flexible.
