We’ve been so busy making the next mag we kind of forgot to train for our upcoming first family thru-hike 🤦‍♂️

We’re so stoked to be heading out to the Lake District for the Fjallraven Classic this year! 50km over a few days with some camping thrown in is the perfect way to celebrate Dayhike Step 3 release.

Thanks and for the invite, we promise to get in some more training between now and then 😂

Oh the irony of having to use social media to promote a physical magazine designed to get you back to nature!

Here you go algorithm, do with it what you must ✌️

Is this the best camping alternative for London?!

I don’t go to the big city often, I much prefer a solo pitch up on a hill to spending a crippling amount on a hotel that I only need to sleep in.

Then I came across capsule hotel in Piccadilly Circus. I paid £60 for the night, I’ve seen on some reviews it can be as low as £30. This took minimal to a new level with a shared bathroom and shower area, all very clean with keycard entry on every door I passed through. Next time I’m in London, this is a no brainer, I’m sold!

We made it because we couldn’t find it. ✌️

Dayhike is our way of showing off the UK outdoors and everything it has to offer. Our goal was to create a magazine that left you feeling “yeah, I could do that!” rather than reading about other people’s extreme adventures and thinking “I could never!”.

We’ve met hundreds of people over the last year and all of them have their own connection to the outdoors and their own way of enjoying them, none of them wrong. If you’re an artist or a writer, a runner or a rambler, a wild camper or a wild swimmer, we’ve got something you may enjoy.

We’re just normal(ish) people that know the benefits of spending time outside and we want to encourage more people to find some new ways to enjoy the UK outdoors and perhaps meet some likeminded folk.

Grab a copy, make a brew and dip into some achievable inspiration!

Outside is Better.

Almost forgot this was the whole point ✨️

We've been visiting New Mexico in the States, where Kyri grew up the last few weeks.

Letting our son run freely through the grassy hillsides of the Rocky Mountains is a good reminder of where we have come from and where we are going.

To us, there is nothing more important than raising a child connected to nature.

Yeah, cheers mate. Love it.

Do you trust your mates with your camping setup?

"I started Bear&Wolf back in 2020. It didn’t work. I rushed things, learned a lot the hard way, and eventually shut it down. At the time, it felt like a failure. Looking back, it was necessary groundwork.

Doing things properly still matters, even if it’s slower, harder and makes no financial sense on paper." - Jake, Founder of .

Collaborating with British businesses who are championing quality and community is one of the best parts of creating this magazine 👌

You probably can’t remember the last hike you did without seeing litter on the trail.

How did that make you feel? And how do we change things?

believes the key is inviting people to change their mindset and see nature as ‘theirs’.

Shifting the mindset from 'this is mine to use' to 'this is mine to care for.'

“Mild adversity is one of the most underrated parenting tools there is.”

is a Dad of two and the bloke behind .uk . He once cycled 38,000km from London to Sydney over two years, built a B Corp adventure media company called We Are Explorers, then did the scariest thing imaginable: had children.

In 2026, he’s spending the year uncovering the best adventures in the UK with his family.
