One of my lifelong film legends has passed away, Brigitte Bardot lived a full life well and left us at the grand age of 91. I shall never forget spending hours at the exhibition of BB’s life in St Tropez, it was wonderful and so was she. 😢💔🕊️

Happy 99th Birthday Marilyn Monroe 💖.

The heroine of my life, as a little girl I was immediately captivated by her when they showed a series of many of Marilyn’s films on the television. As well as being incredibly beautiful and having the screen presence that many of today’s stars could only dream of having, there were many more layers to her than the big film studios of the time lead people to believe, she was intelligent and had depth. It’s extremely sad that she only saw 36 years of life. 💖🌼💖 💋

Gary Oldman, what an absolutely incredible gentleman you are 💖! So much so we HAD to attend THREE performances of ‘Krapp’s Last Tape’ during the course of his month long residency in York. We were fortunate to book tickets for his last show last night and the atmosphere in the theatre was electric. I doff my cap not only for Gary’s on-point performance of Krapp night after night but for being so generous as to stand outside meeting and greeting theatre attendees every, single night! The queues desperate to meet our British legend, icon were huge and must have taken the great man an hour to work through. The tenacity and kindness of both Gary and his wife, Gisele are indeed extraordinarily rare these days.

Today, I feel very lucky to have met Gary but also sad as I will miss him and his kindness, the way he remarkably remembered me last night and held my hand as if to reassure me that everything will be ok. Life has been incredibly stressful to the extent of being almost unbearable recently and during those very tiny moments life was indeed beautiful. Thank you Sir Gary of Oldman, I will never forget you. 💖

Today of all days really makes me think of my wonderful Grandparents, I only wish that I could meet them now, hug them and hear all their stories. Although I do wonder what they would think of this mad world we live in now. My Grandad very bravely fought in the trenches at Vimy Ridge in Northern France during WW1 whilst he was just a teenager and thankfully safely returned home to England. However the Forces made him (and many other soldiers) stay over in France for a whole year after Armistice Day, when all was peaceful again. During this long time he had nothing to do other than desperately want to return home 😢.

My Grandma tragically and suddenly passed away exactly six months to the day before I was born 😢.

Wow, the Northern Lights provided the most incredible and magical performance for us here in deepest Lincolnshire last night 💖! I feel particularly lucky to have captured this especially considering my airline pilot hubby was away working in Norway, the home of the and he didn’t see anything. He’s had childhood holidays in Norway and still didn’t see it then either.

This is shocking and so sad, just shed some tears for Steve Wright 😢. Unlike today, back in the day the radio was so important for us ‘kids’. I always loved listening to Steve and his collective posse like Sid the Manager and the guy who impersonated Mick Jagger really made me giggle too. To me, Steve was the sort of chap you’d love as a friend, a neighbour, a decent, reliable and kind soul, a constant. He loved ‘Waiting For A Star To Fall’ by Boy Meets Girl, and as soon as I hear that song I immediately think of him. Today a real star has sadly fallen, why is it always the good ones 💔?
