Kids need to go to school to socialise….
But honestly? Since we started home educating, I’ve seen just how untrue that is.

My child has more genuine friendships now than they ever did in school —- ones built around shared interests, kindness, and real connection, not just being the same age and in the same classroom.

We have home ed groups, nature meetups, art sessions, science clubs, playdates, and spontaneous park days. The best part? We get to choose what feels right for us - who we spend time with, how often, and in environments that feel calm and supportive.

And here’s something I wish more people understood:
Not every child wants or needs to be social all the time. Some kids thrive with quieter connections or smaller circles and that’s still completely valid.

Home education gives them that freedom.
To learn, connect, and just be themselves without the pressure to fit in or perform socially every day.
