Join us on the last day of refugee week to see the work of a dear friend where she answers a question many of us grapple with: “how am I supposed to make art when our people are dying?”

Sandcastles is a live audio-visual performance by in collaboration with

The work engages with the fragment as a site of potential and exists in the now and only for the people in the room.

Sandcastles is a multi-chapter story that fleshes out our humanity pre and post our hyper-politicisation.

It features movement by Fadi Giha inspired by research and work I've done a few years ago on the role of the professional mourners of Egypt and Iraq Al-Naddabat and Al-Mullayat.

Be in the room with us: June 26, Kunstraum, 7:30pm.
