Albion Knitting School is incredibly proud to be a selected partner of the Worshipful Company of Framework Knitters and to support the important work they do in championing British knitwear and textile craftsmanship.

Through this partnership, we’re helping shape the future of knitwear and textiles. Albion Knitting School exists to bridge the gap between higher education and industry, giving emerging designers, programmers and product developers the technical skills and manufacturing knowledge needed to thrive in the real world.

We have to say, the students absolutely SLAYED their final designs, and they looked fantastic wearing their own creations. The talent, creativity, and dedication on display have been truly inspiring.

📣 NEW COURSE DATES ADDED

Due to demand, we’ve added a new 3-Day Knitwear Product Developer Course to our summer programme.

Designed for aspiring and established product developers, this immersive course provides a unique opportunity to learn directly from industry experts working at the forefront of knitwear design, development and manufacturing.

Over three days, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the knitwear product lifecycle, from yarn selection and technical specifications through to sampling, fit analysis, costing and production planning. Combining practical exercises with real-world industry insight, the course offers valuable hands-on learning that is difficult to find elsewhere.

Whether you’re looking to build confidence in knitwear development, strengthen your technical knowledge, or better understand the journey from concept to production, this course provides an invaluable foundation for working within the knitwear industry.

Summer in the city? Never stopped our students making great knitwear 👏

Congratulations to Sonia who joined us from the Royal College Art to undertake 2 weeks of intensive learning as she makes the move from education to manufacturing.

Already a talented designer with her own label, Sonia Waller, Sonia brought creativity, curiosity and dedication to every session. We’re delighted to have shared industry knowledge and practical manufacturing skills to support the next stage of her knitwear journey.
