The GaitLdn Etsy store is now open for business!

The ready-to-go sample-design shoes are all UK size 6's at the moment but you can order these design concepts (or any other custom ideas) in whatever size, shoe style or colour scheme you want through the custom order sections. Just let the project know what you would like in a message or in the preferences section on your order. It's kinda like booking a tattoo... but for your custom high/low-tops.

This design concept was inspired my my Dad’s Olympus OM-1 which he gave to me earlier this year. It was second hand in 1976 and the light meter doesn’t work but it still produces incredible photography. I love the mechanical feel and tangible process of using an older film camera. This pair was inspired by that feeling and by my Dad’s generosity in giving me his old camera and lenses.

And yes, that is real, developed film sewed and glued on, along with an old Ilford film box lid. All artwork is top-coated for weather resistance.

This design concept is on a pair of Converse Renews which are made from recycled and discarded materials such as plastic bottles. This pair is a UK size 6 but if you like the idea, you can order this concept through the custom orders section on the Etsy store next week!

One of the places I have missed the most during lockdown is art galleries. Finding solace in air conditioned rooms walking around with total strangers and viewing art that demonstrates the world through another person’s eyes. This design concept was inspired by that solace. Recycling old art gallery magazines to create this concept on a pair of low top Vans UK size 6. This pair will be available on the GaitLdn Etsy store from Monday. I have lots of magazines I can repurpose so if you like this idea hit me up through the custom orders section next week 🌈🖤

From reusing all packaging from Vans and Converse stores, to offering free 🚲 delivery in and around Battersea and central London, Gaitf/2.8 is an eco-conscious creative project. I design all stencils custom and to order using my own software and vinyl cutting equipment in order to minimise waste. I only work on vegan products. I use recycled Kraft paper, 100% recycled cotton business card labels, paper-packing tape, bamboo cotton buds... even the metal label shoe tags can be reused as key chains!
