Next Generation Shoemaking with CAD/CAM

One of the most prudent decisions we have made as a startup brand is to partner up with experts spanning decades of industry experience in the Footwear industry, our focus being on sustainable shoe development and innovation. This not only helps mitigate risk for the brand but it also means we get to work with partners using the latest technology and infrastructure to help bring our ideas to reality!

So what is CAD/CAM?
This is the design process from sketch pad of a shoe model to the final product with the aid of computer software.
CAD: Computer-aided design.
CAM: Computer aided manufacturing.

Thanks to CAD programs, our creative team use tools which quicken the processing time from sketch to concept product and final design delivered to you. While CAM programs increase the production time in comparison to traditional methods.

Dear Ariko family,

As we continue to work on creating and developing an authentic and proudly African brand, our heads remain firmly buried in the research and development labs of our manufacturing partners, testing new textiles, colours and moulds for our maiden collection.

*Please note that our final drop will not look anything like the teasers we have shown, but will emerge MUCH BETTER having been TRIED and TESTED for DURABILITY, FIT and AESTHETIC!

The R & D process is one of the most exciting but exhausting processes in design, however it makes the final product worth all the waiting! 😃

It is an important aspect to our product development process because it provides us with powerful knowledge and insights, leading to improvements on prior concepts where FUNCTION, QUALITY, DURABILITY are increased and production costs reduced giving us a shot at penetrating, surviving and thriving in an already competitive market.

All types of physical and chemical tests are currently being performed by our R&D Team through accredited labs on exciting and different renewable materials such as: recycled yarns, organic, eco-friendly and antibacterial linings as well as vegan leather!

*Organic Content Standard-OCS is an international standard that confirms the quantity and presence of organic material in a product. It provides a truly organic supply chain management through certification from organic raw material source to end product.
It is applied in products containing between 5% and 100% organic material other than food products. Our manufacturing partners, will therefore produce shoes containing organic material by OCS standards therefore making us an eco-friendly and eco-conscious African brand.
