One day I bought a voucher on Groupon for a 3-hour course in sewing. They literally taught us how to switch on a sewing machine and how to thread it. I didn't know anything about sewing machines until then, but I enjoyed those 3 hours so much, that once I got out of the workshop, I went straight online and bought a second hand sewing machine and that's how it all began. I learnt mostly by trial an

d error, I still make mistakes, but I absolutely love sewing, I love how concentrated and focused I have to stay if I want the result to be exactly as I visualised it and how everything else vanishes while I am sewing. My favourite part of sewing is when I turn a purse right side out to see the result (you have to sew them inside out and turn them right at the end). That's when I really hope I didn't make a silly mistake. Most of the time, I smile and tell myself: "mission accomplished!"

I buy most of my fabrics, threads and zips in Brixton, London, and some of them in Italy, where I'm from and where I go as often as possible.

Finally! My first project after almost 4 months without sewing...I risked it and used a pattern I love, luckily it came out nice 😍

Today I pull out the fabrics...tomorrow I will cut them and hopefully by next week I will have actually sewn something, fingers crossed!

We made it back to the UK! 🇬🇧 The Christmas tree was here waiting for us 😂 🎄

We had to do a quick stop in Paris and I wish we could have stayed for a few days, but you know, covid and stuff....🤷🏻‍♀️

At least, I managed to pay a visit to the Abbey Bookshop, which is a tiny, beautiful bookshop full of character. Have you been there?
Now, it's finally time to pull my sewing machine out 💪🏼
