LONDON CLIMATE ACTION WEEK | An incredible sense of unity and shared purpose at the launch of the Zero Waste Hub, marking a key milestone on the “Road to Antalya COP31.”

Speaking as a panelist alongside global climate leaders and parliamentarians, I shared a perspective that has anchored my work for over 25 years:

“The fashion industry produces over 100 billion garments annually, yet less than 1% is recycled. We currently have enough clothing on this planet to dress the next six generations. We cannot solve this crisis by simply trying to fix the kitchen tap while the main issue is on the main supply pipe.”

To advocate for a zero-waste future, our entire design philosophy must embody it. For the panel, I wore our SS25 Vajrayana ensemble (pictured)- a piece that reflects how every garment in our collections is built. Crafted from organic bamboo, raw organic cotton, mango leather, and apple leather, it pairs a 1,000-year-old Newari craft tradition from Nepal with circular science to intercept modern agricultural waste.

The unveiling of ‘The King of Sustainability’ portrait of HM King Charles III during the event, crafted entirely from discarded waste, was a beautiful reminder of what is possible when we change the perception of Waste.

True circularity isn’t a new concept—only 100 years ago, our global ecosystem lived it. It’s time to look to that ancestral wisdom to heal the Earth and restore true circularity. ♻️

When creating the Continuum Collection, I wanted to redefine what luxury means today. This gown features our signature architectural peplum and structural tailoring, but its true heartbeat lies in its creation. It is crafted from a fusion of our upcycled archival remnants and groundbreaking plant-based innovations.
More importantly, by bypassing a traditional runway presentation this season, we were able to redirect our resources to a cause incredibly close to my heart: educating vulnerable children in rural Nepal and continuing to provide fair-trade work for marginalised artisans.

Luxury is no longer just about what you wear—it’s about the legacy we leave behind. 🤍
