We hardly need to add anything to this! has the best quotes and one-liners. ”Want to raise kind children? Be kind to your children.” This reminds us of the saying ’you can't fight fire with fire ’. We can't expect our children to just be kind if they have no model behaviour to follow.⁣ The same way we can't expect to get through to someone angry by becoming angry ourselves. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
introduced us to this state called ’flipping your lid.’ It comes from Dan Siegel, clinical professor of psychiatry and author of The Whole-Brain Child. When two people have ’flipped their lid’ they cannot communicate effectively with each other. They just can't hear what the other person is saying. explains this much better than we do, so go check her out! And you can also find Dan Siegel speaking about this on YouTube.⁣

The pressure to always do the right thing for our children can feel overwhelming, but if you're here right now, reading this, we know that you are an amazing parent! Keep pushing on, you've got this!⁣

This subject is so important to us and one that we feel very passionate about. So here goes. You cannot spoil your baby. Not by picking them up, holding them, cuddling them, or loving them. It's simply not possible to spoil them with love and attention. In fact, you're doing the opposite by reassuring your child that they are wanted and they are loved 💕💜🥰

The best way to get perspective on this is to put an adult in the child's shoes. Would you spoil your partner by hugging them too much? Or telling them how loved they are? We don't think so.⁣

So our message to you, our lovely and loyal followers, is to cuddle those babies, take in all you can of your beautiful children whilst they still young and want cuddles! They'll soon be grown up!⁣ 🙏💜💕🥰😍

There are so many pressures in our interconnected world to be the perfect parent, but it’s just not possible… Been there, tried that! If you take anything from this post we hope that you know Instagram is not a real representation of people’s lives (well most people's lives)! Who wants to share the bad stuff right? What you see is just a tiny snapshot out of a whole 24hrs. Everyone struggles. Parenting is bloomin’ hard, we’re not going to deny that! ⁣

Give yourself a break, you’re doing a fantastic job! Don’t compare yourself to the filtered life of someone else on social media, that’s just unfair on yourself. You’re amazing, we love you! If you ever need someone to talk to, just send us a message.⁣

If there's a friend who you think should hear this, send it to them. Let them know they're doing a fab job and you love them!⁣

P.S. has some lovely, real posts about parenting 🙏💜🙌 We love her honesty, it's so reassuring and refreshing!

We've all been there. Trying to have a conversation with another parent, friend or family member, but for some reason, the conversations just keep getting interrupted... Classic parenting moment! Do you think we can add excellent conversation picker-back-upper to our CVs now? One of the many skills we never imagined learning from parenting! ⁣

Parenting is having conversations broken up into tiny bits. We hope this made you smile! Leave us a smile if it did, or send this post to a friend this happened with!⁣

has it spot on here. Fighting fire with fire never works. Our children aren’t the enemy. Love always wins! It may not be easy to always respond with love, but you’ll be surprised by the outcome. ⁣

Try it next time and let us know how you get on! Doesn’t just have to be with our children but our family, friends, could even be with strangers.⁣

We hope, as a community of parents, that we are all striving to do the best we can to educate ourselves and our children. Our children model our behaviour, whatever it is, and as they’re the future, let’s make sure we’re doing our best for them to live in a world that is equal and fair. As says 👉 ⁣

We would like to show our support to the Black Lives Matter movement with these T-shirts. All proceeds made will go to the (blacklivesmatter.com). These T-shirts are for anyone and everyone to show their support. Because black lives do matter. Sending you all so much love 🙏🖤🌍⁣

You know your friend is a true friend when they send your child a surprise activity! We recently received this pack in the post. It was so unexpected and extremely exciting! ⁣

Inside were some instructions and all the pieces to create this fabulous weather dial. Thats the best kind of activity (for parents anyway!) the ones that have all the components ready to go, no preparation needed! We had so much fun making this and the concentration level was a 10/10! ⁣

Why not surprise a friend today? It really made our day during this tough time!⁣ Thank you 🙏💜

By the way, this post is NOT sponsored, we just loved the product and wanted to share it with you all!⁣

The best parenting podcast yet! We heard this quote “Get to the source, don’t force” on the podcast with and it ⁣was just brilliant. The whole episode is jam packed with beautiful stories and advice. We were smiling, crying and laughing throughout!

It’s conversations like this that could change a generation. Seriously, the best parenting podcast we’ve listened to. We recommend it to everyone - parents, grandparents, teachers, it’s simply brilliant.

Find Mindvalley on Podcasts, the episode is called ‘How Children Become Adults Without Limits with Shelly Lefkoe’. It was uploaded 13th November 2019 if that helps you find it.

“Parents, choose your words wisely, carefully, thoughtfully” -
What we say to our children is so powerful, whether we notice it or not. A simple comment like ‘he’s just shy’ or ‘she always looks terrible in pictures’ (quote from Happy book) can influence how a child sees themselves and how much self esteem they have.
Let’s be conscious of our words. They are so powerful 🙏💜

Here in the UK, it’s Mother’s Day today. But regardless of where you are in the world, whether it’s Mother’s Day or not, we just wanted to say we think you’re bloomin’ brilliant.

Please know that you are appreciated whether you hear it or not. We see you 💜 You may be sleep-deprived, overwhelmed, exhausted (mentally and physically), and a whole lot more. But just know that you're incredible, beautiful, and quite frankly a superwoman!

You should be so proud of yourself for getting this far on your parenting journey. Just think of all the hard times you’ve already made it through. Those times when you couldn't go on. When everything got too much. Or you didn't think it was possible. Yet here you are still fighting to make it through another day. You’ve got this mama. 💪🙏💜😘

Something exciting is coming!! Keep your eyes peeled here for the next few days............ 👀😁💜
