Hopipola Handwovens is the studio of handweaver and textile designer Kirsty Odds, based in Aberlady on the East Lothian coast. She creates fresh, contemporary woven pieces, predominantly for use in interiors, on traditional looms.

Very much looking forward to taking part in this creative weekend in Haddington. Lots of brilliant workshops on offer and open studios and exhibition spaces to visit. What better way to spend a weekend than full of art?!

I’m sampling a new design inspired by kingfishers ready to set up my loom in preparation for Aberlady Open Studios (9th/10 May).

Always a fan of some blue and orange so I’m very much enjoying working on this fabric. I’ve sampled the same pattern in two scales and really enjoying the slightly larger for some potential blankets.
