❤️ Thank you, Edinburgh.
What an incredible nine days it has been!
From everyone who stopped for a chat, admired the handmade pieces, bought a gift, shared a story, or simply stopped to have a browse — thank you.
I've met people from all over the world, heard some wonderful stories, and loved sharing a little piece of Thimble Tweed with so many of you.
And, of course, I couldn't finish without introducing Marco Polo, who joined me on Castle Street on Thursday and quickly became part of the Thimble Tweed team! 🐾❤️
He certainly enjoyed watching the world go by — although I'm not sure he did much sewing! 😂
Every bag, bear, and handmade piece has been created with care in my little workshop in the Scottish Borders, using reclaimed Scottish fabrics and giving beautiful textiles a second life.
Your support means so much to me as a small independent maker. Every purchase, kind word, follow, recommendation, and conversation helps Thimble Tweed continue to grow.
I hope that everyone who took a little piece of Thimble Tweed home with them also took home a little reminder of Scotland. 🏴❤️
Thank you for making my nine days on Castle Street so special.
I hope our paths cross again soon.
With heartfelt thanks,
Sandra

Almost the End

I can't quite believe we're nearly at the end of our time on Castle Street.
It's been such a wonderful week filled with lovely conversations, new customers, and lots of smiles.
If you've been meaning to visit, there's still time! I'd love to see you before the market finishes.

It's been fascinating seeing which products everyone has fallen in love with this week.
Some people can't resist the bears.
Others head straight for the tote bags.
And there have been plenty of lovely gifts finding new homes too.
Every purchase supports my small handmade business, and I'm incredibly grateful for every single one.
Thank you.

Sustainable Style
One of the things I love most about Thimble Tweed is giving beautiful fabrics a second life.
Many of the tweeds and textiles I use would otherwise go to waste, but with a little imagination, they become bags, bears, and gifts that can be treasured for years.
Handmade, sustainable, and proudly Scottish.
Thank you for supporting small businesses that care about craftsmanship and the environment.

Behind Every Stitch
People often ask me how long it takes to make one of my pieces.
The answer is... longer than most people imagine! Every item is designed, cut, stitched, pressed, and finished by hand. I take great pride in the little details because I want every piece to last for years.
Using reclaimed Scottish fabrics means every bag, and every bear has its own character and story.
If you're in Edinburgh, come and see them in person—I'd love to tell you more about how they're made.
