Oxfam GB enters the clothing rental space.
Not in partnership with (alrhough the cleaning and other logistics seem to be from ACS (Advanced Clothing Solutions)

Not as a one off event.
Not for a special collection.

And this must be the boldest l’ve seen so far from a major charity in years.

Now, Clothing rental is a very complex and expensive model to run.

But we’re tempted to think they have a major advantage : the stock comes in as donated items. That’s a major line of expense gone entirely.

We’ve had a look around last night when the news broke out.
The thing looks great. Some unique pieces to rent. Not sure about the price point though.

We’ll keep an eye on how they advertise it.

The demographic that tends to rent clothes for a special occasion is not the one that has fallen out of love with charity shopping.
