In the window this week are a collection of beautiful Vintage Kimono bags. It's very hard for me to let these go as I remember clearly the day that I bought them 5 years ago. I went on a shopping trip with a dear friend in his car to an amazing recycle shop outside of Tokyo and filled up my trolley or two! On that day I purchased all of these bags except one which I made myself.
They they were shipped home in a container with all my other stuff and took 3 months to get here. In the last 5 years I have actually moved 3 times so they have been in the same box all that time.
Anyway I finally unpacked them into my sewing room and was surprised at how they have survived and are still in mint condition. I have decided to let them go, and want people (you) to enjoy their beauty and use them !

This week Lucienne is wearing something a bit different. A yukata (summer kimono) but its white with a black splash pattern, usually they are indigo or bright colours for a summer vibe.

In the window this week!
Lucienne is sporting a striking naga-juban (undergarment). Traditionally worn under the kimono against the skin. A simple , washable robe with a changeable collar, that can be seen under the kimono.
In modern society naga-juban are usually worn so that they can be seen. This one is a lovely red silk adorned with white tiled spotted squares.
The beret and necklace are mine both from Japan as are the paper lanterns.
The fan was kindly gifted to me by .creart .
