🚨Pattern release alert!🚨
I’ve put together a cute pattern for a ruffly stocking ready for the festive period❤️. It’s one of those lovely patterns that gets you into the festive spirit, either as a gift, group activity or something to make for yourself.l with your favourite movie on and a hot chocolate.

It’s been a nice, ‘less intense’, pattern to work on during the IVF (which is never ending) 😭.

The ‘ruffle festive stocking’ has a playful design with a gathered ruffle around the top. The stocking is also fully lined and has a loop to hang from. It is sturdy enough to hold its own shape whilst hanging and is roomy enough to hold gifts- everything you want from a stocking!

The stocking works well in a medium-weight fabric that holds its shape well but is not too thick or bulky.

This project is for beginner sewers and upwards. It includes: topstitching; gathers; and stitching in the ditch.

The pattern is an instant PDF download that you print. You will get two pattern files: one to print at home on A4 paper; and another to print on a single sheet of A1 paper at a print shop/copy shop. You will also get a detailed instructions file, which has detailed step-by-step instructions on how to print the pattern, lay out the pattern, cut the fabric and sew the project. What an honour it has been to work on this stunning wedding dress commission!
Recently, a lovely lady contacted me to bring her bespoke wedding dress design into reality.
I absolutely jumped at the chance as this is my bread and butter; my absolute favourite project.
Whilst I am pausing making most items to-order as we go through our s**t insomnia-wrought IVF journey, I am very much welcoming exciting projects like this as they really do bring me joy and excite my creativity. I love working out how to translate someone’s design into a physical pattern and product. I am working on a few weddings and civil partnerships at the moment which so am so grateful for.
I made this particular dress in one of my favourite fabrics to work with and dye; 100% organza Mulberry silk organza. I have also made a bamboo silk slip for underneath, dyed in the same colour.

P.s. I will be putting a few sample items thay I have had in storage for a while up for SALE TOMORROW as I really need to make some space!

💃🎉🥳The PDF sewing pattern for my tie-back top is now up on the website in sizes 6-30 💃🎉🥳

Digitising my original pattern, transforming it into a commercial sewing pattern and widening the size range has been quite the challenge. I can’t lie, I definitely avoided this one a lot at times, but I’ve also been determined to nail it. It has been a journey of maths, mistakes and making. I’m grateful for my fit testers who quickly made me realise some mistakes I had introduced last minute into the bust grading and seam allowance! And I’m grateful to the project itself for all of the learnings it has given me. But I’m also super relieved it’s done.

The tie-back top is fitted at the chest, with a gathered peplum at the bottom and closes with an adjustable tie at the back. The gathered peplum has an elasticated section at the back for comfort and fit. The top also has the option for adjustable straps.

This project is for intermediate sewers with experience using a sewing machine and constructing garments. It includes a princess bust seam, gathering, a lining, adjustable straps, elastic and edgestitching.

The pattern is an instant PDF download that you print. I provide both A4 and A0 printing options for the pattern, along with an instructions file. Oh heyy, it’s been a hot minute but I have a delivery incoming! With the help of my amazing sewing and fit testers, my beloved tie-back top has been tried and tested and is next up for release as a sewing pattern!

In the process, I have made the straps fully adjustable, the dart and the front is now actually a princess seam which has made it a really smooth shape regardless of how full your bust is. I also find this easier to sew as I’m pretty lazy and I hate having to mark over dart points and stuff!

It can be made as a top but also as a dress and I have been working my butt off to get it ready for the hot weather. I mean, the hot weather came pretty quickly so it definitely beat me. Anyways, I have a couple of amendments to make but I will be releasing this very very soon!

Here are a few different versions of my Hayley top sewing pattern in various sizes. The sewing pattern also includes a dress version of the top that has in-seam pockets too.

In other news, my partner and I recently moved house into a renovation project and we were determined to teach ourselves how to plaster walls to save money. I was super nervous at first but we went for it and genuinely we surprised ourselves! It’s back breaking stuff and I could never do it as a job, but we are 6 walls in and saving so much money it’s insane. Today, we are skimming the last two walls in our study and I hope to soon have a painted wall to resume taking content photos. Since moving house, I haven’t been able to see much or take pictures so this will be a huge step!

Hello Instagram, it’s been a while. I’ve been quiet on here for some time as I’ve been going through the washing machine that is IVF. I’ve also battled with whether I share this on here or not, so please be gentle. It has been an incredibly trying time and I have needed to pause making physical orders for a while because of the intensity of what we have been/are going through. We haven’t given up yet, but are now aware that our chances are slim and we need to shift our energy to think about different futures to what we expected and hoped for.

Anyway, amidst all of this I have been picking up the PDF sewing pattern work when I have had the headspace for it. In moments I have not wanted to look at it at all, and in other moments it has been exactly what I needed to focus on.
With that, I am excited to announce that I have released TWO sewing patterns on the website 💃🎉🍾

These are the ‘Hayley top and dress’ duo and the ‘June top’. They are both on the website now, please check them out.

I’m also working away on the rest of the patterns and on brand new designs which I’m excited about as I’ve not had time to play with new designs for a while. We need some fresh stuff going on!

Next up with these cute lil sewing pattern illustrations is our full pleated skirt with a fitted waistband and in-seam pockets.

Hey! Thanks to all the amazing pattern testers helping me so far!
I have been working to increase the size range of my existing sewing patterns along with developing my new patterns. My Nina trousers are now available in UK sizes 6-30 (swipe to check measurements).

The Nina trousers and shorts have a voluminous shape, a gathered waist and in-seam pockets. They have a gathered inset detail on each hip with a layered ruffle.

This pattern is for intermediate sewers. It includes: understitching and topstitching; pockets; right-angle seams; an elasticated waistband; and gathering. You can lengthen or shorten the Nina trousers/shorts to your specific measurements and preferences.

Hey guys, so as you know I have been working in-between orders on my backlog of designs that will be released as PDF sewing patterns. I am going through them all at the mo but some of them are ready to be tested!

This means I am looking for a number of testers of different sizes (UK size 6-28) to send the sewing pattern to. You would get the pattern for free to keep (including the final pattern with amendments) in exchange for following the instructions to make up the item (in any fabric you have- as long as it meets the requirement for the pattern, e.g. woven). I would then be looking for your feedback on the instructions but also how you find the fit of the resulting item. The fit has been tested already, however more feedback on that is always welcome. The patterns will be available to print on A4 and A0 paper.

Ideally, the people I am looking for can test the projects fairly speedily and are willing to test more as I produce more. I am happy for you to live anywhere and give digital feedback. Local is also awesome.

One of my favourite parts of making clothes for people is being sent stunning photos of them ‘in the wild’!

A lovely client sent these gorgeous pictures of them in a custom dress I worked on for them for a wedding. It looks like there was so much joy on that day and I feel honoured to have been a small part of it.

This client contacted me a little while ago as she was after a dress version of one of my top designs in organic silk. She was planning to wear it as a bridesmaid so it needed to be a specific colour, too which is a challenge I always enjoy. I got my lab gloves out and worked on a custom dye colour in a beautiful rust orange. I drafted the pattern for the dress, sewed it up and dyed it. We then had a remote fitting and I tailored the length and volume of the dress so it felt right for the client.

I’m really happy with the result, it looks awesome!
