Little Loomies is here! 🦙🧶

A new 6-week hands-on homeschool course at Stitch Stable for children aged 7–11.

From fleece to finished rug, our Little Loomies will meet the animals, prepare their own fleece and learn how to turn it into their very own little peg loom rug.

I built a mountain of fibre 🦙🗻

I’ve spent a good few hours at the carder and this is the result!

There’s something so satisfying about taking my own fibre through each stage — from fleece, washing, picking, to these lovely soft carded batts.

And this particular mountain has already been earmarked for a job… but I’m keeping that bit under wraps for now.

Grown here in Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 and carded by me at the Stitch Stable. Very satisfying!

A little idea that’s been growing in the Cri-ators Cabin… and it’s finally ready!

Weave your very own manta (blanket) for your Loom Paca using yarn made from the fibre of our own animals and hand dyed by me here in Pembrokeshire.

Each kit contains everything you need to get weaving, including your reusable wooden Loom Paca, Loom Paca Comb, needle, warping thread, yarn and easy-to-follow instructions.

And once you’ve finished? Leave your manta on your Loom Paca to enjoy, or take it off and weave another.

💎 One in Five… and we’re still pinching ourselves!

We’re so excited to share that Saddlers Cottage at Berllandeg Farm has been shortlisted as one of just five finalists in the Sykes Gem Awards 2026 – Best Farm Stay.

This isn’t a public vote or nomination. Sykes have selected the finalists based on guest feedback, reviews and the experiences they’ve enjoyed throughout the year.

Many of you know us through Stitch Stable – our alpacas, fibre, workshops and handmade creations – but Saddlers Cottage is another part of our little farm that we love sharing with people.

Whether guests come to relax, wake up to the alpacas outside their window, explore Pembrokeshire, or simply enjoy the peace of the countryside, it’s wonderful to know those experiences have been recognised.

Thank you to every guest who has stayed with us, every person who has left a kind review, and everyone who continues to support our little family business.

🦙 From our farm to the Corn Exchange. 🌿

This week you’ll find Stitch Stable at the Exhibition in the Corn Exchange, Cardigan.

Every piece on display begins its journey on our Pembrokeshire farm, using fibre from our own alpacas and goats and my friend’s sheep. From luxurious wraps and scarves to hand-dyed yarn, carded fibre and thoughtful gifts, each item has been carefully created with a love of natural fibres and traditional craftsmanship.

I hope my display gives visitors a glimpse into the journey from farm to fibre.

If you’re in Cardigan between 27th July and 1st August, do pop in and have a browse. I’d love to know which piece catches your eye!

I’m so excited to launch my new Farm to Fibre Workshop as part of my application for Sustainable Fashion Week 2026.

Join me at Stitch Stable to discover the journey from fleece to fabric. Meet our alpacas and angora goats, explore each stage of the fibre-making process, and create your own handcrafted Rewoven Brooch to take home.

This workshop is all about celebrating slow fashion, traditional skills and the value of natural fibres.

Here we go again… the first job after shearing begins. 🤍

The sheep fleeces are hanging to dry before being skirted, graded and carefully stored in paper, ready for future projects.

Behind them are trays filled with alpaca and mohair fibre, each waiting for the same careful preparation.

Every fleece is sorted by hand. Every fibre has its own qualities. It’s a slow process, but it’s the foundation of everything we create—from carded fibre and yarn to handcrafted textiles.

Nothing is rushed, and we aim to make the most of every fleece.

Every finished product has a story… and this is where it begins.
