👀 Does anyone notice anything different in this very un-social-media-worthy picture? 👀

Siop Y Stryd finally has signage! 🥹

A huge thank you to David for giving up his time and coming over on this extremely hot Sunday to help get it all installed. I’m so grateful for his help — there’s no way I could’ve done any of that on my own.

It’s suddenly dawned on me this evening just how real this all is… I actually have a shop. 🥹🏠

I know it’s taken a little while for it to properly sink in, but seeing the name up there on the front of the building has made it all feel very real very quickly.

There are still a few finishing touches to come and I’m now just waiting for my window people to arrive, but little by-little it’s all coming together exactly as I imagined.

From a little shed to a shop on Watling Street… what a journey it’s been already ❤️

How has it been a whole week since I opened the doors to Siop Y Stryd already?! 🤯

I honestly can’t put into words how thankful I am to every single person who has popped in, bought something, shared a post, recommended me to someone else or simply came for a little nosey around the shop. It truly means so much and every bit of support has made this first week so special. ❤️

There are still a few little things that need adjusting here and there, but that’s mostly just me being picky! I’m sure it will all come together in time.

The main thing is that I’m up and running, doing something I love, and I’m enjoying every single minute of being in my little Siop. 🏡✨

Thank you for making week one one to remember — here’s to many more! 🥰

I’ve been asked a lot over the last few days what school uniforms I currently do in the shop, so here’s the list of schools already signed up to the Y Stryd giveback scheme ✨

Every item purchased through Y Stryd gives 10% back to the school 💛

Thank you so much to everyone that came into the shop today 💛
It honestly meant the world seeing people walk through the doors after such a journey getting everything ready.

The support, kind words, purchases and encouragement have all been so appreciated. 🫶🏻

It’s been a long two weeks, full of late nights, exhaustion and plenty of hiccups along the way… but tomorrow is finally here 🥹✨

Tomorrow, I officially open the doors to my shop from 9:30am – 4:30pm.

I can’t promise there won’t be a few emotional tears, because this moment means so much to me, but I’m finally here — ready to welcome you all into Siop Y Stryd 💛

Is it perfect? Absolutely not. There will probably be lots of little things I change around over the next few weeks, but for now… it’s done. And I’m so proud of what’s been created in such a short space of time.

I truly couldn’t have done this without the incredible support around me. A massive, massive thank you to my mother-in-law for all of your help, support, patience and hard work over the last two weeks — I genuinely couldn’t have done it without you.

And thank you to my husband for the cutting in, drilling through rock solid walls, and for keeping everything running at home while I’ve been burning the candle at both ends ❤️

Finally, a big thankyou to the NHW for her painting skills, sometimes you just need a friend to give you a good kick up the bum to get your motivation going again 🥰

This little dream has been a huge team effort, and I’m so grateful ❤️

I honestly can’t wait to welcome you all through the doors tomorrow 🪡✨

📢 PSA 📢

Just a quick announcement to anyone that was planning to come and have a nosey at the shop tomorrow, I’m unfortunately going to have to push the opening day back to Friday. Things have not gone to plan tonight unfortunately and instead of rushing it and making a mess of so much hard work done by many, I’ve made the annoying decision but the best decision.

So hopefully come Friday morning everything will be in place looking beautiful and ready to welcome you all in ❤️

These might not be the most exciting pictures… but today marks the end of the first week of getting the shop ready for opening ✨

Photos 1–4 are the befores… and 5, 6 & 7 are during 👀

Even though it might not look like much has happened, SO much has been going on behind the scenes already and I’m finally starting to see it all come together.

I’m really loving documenting the very beginning of this big adventure and I can’t wait to look back on these moments 🖤

I’m so looking forward to next week when things really start taking shape, and if all goes to plan, by the end of the week/over the weekend the shed will finally be emptied and everything moved across ✨

It’s a lot of hard work, late nights and chaos at the minute, but I’m so excited for this next chapter for Y Stryd ♥️🪡
