Coffee Pod Creations started three years ago when I became concerned about the millions of coffee pods which are discarded and end up in landfill. Culturally, the coffee capsule is a symbol of a busy lifestyle. My work represents the opposite: the slowing down and appreciating the little things. It is a conscious move towards a more sustainable jewellery practice. Although I’ve worked with glass a

nd taken silversmith workshops, I prefer using recycled materials. It all started when I saw a simple pendant, from Italy, which was made out of coffee pods. I recycled some of my friend’s pods and began to experiment with new designs and ideas. I came up with a triple pod pendant and a single pod design and incorporated beads into the necklaces. I extended my range into creating brooches and earrings. My work doesn’t involved machinery and is not mass produced. Each item is handmade using aluminium coffee pods to create the designs. I collect, clean and transform the pods into jewellery using a special technique which I have developed. There are many parts to the process and it takes a long time. However I love sharing my work with others and I feel passionately about why I do it. When you buy an item from Coffee Pod Creations you are buying a unique gift either for yourself or someone else.

My neighbour spotted this article in the Hampshire Independent!

Fay Trantor, the Event Director Spring & Autumn Fair described Coffee Pod Creations as “a fantastic example of originality and innovation”. Hearing that from the person behind such a major retail event is pretty special ❤️

And it all came about through winning Theo Paphitis Small Business Sunday back in 2022 🎉 If you’re a small business and haven’t applied, I really do recommend giving it a go. It’s such a supportive community and there are some fantastic opportunities that can come from it.

Having a stand at Spring Fair means I’ll be able to meet lots more shop owners and buyers, which means you could find Coffee Pod Creations in more independent high street shops. That’s something I’m really looking forward to 😆

Because sometimes the most interesting materials are the ones we nearly throw away 😍

Since July, you can now find Coffee Pod Creations at The Bazaar in the heart of Chichester 😃

The Bazaar is an independent gift shop with a lovely mix of products from small makers and designers, and it has been part of Chichester’s independent shopping scene for years. I love being part of a shop that celebrates the people behind the products, rather than filling its shelves with the same things you’ll find everywhere else.

So if you’re exploring Chichester and looking for something a little different, pop into The Bazaar at Eastgate Square. You’ll find a selection of my necklaces and earrings, each one made by me using aluminium coffee

My latest batch of jewellery has made its way to the heart of Wi******er 💚

Their information centre (down by the statue of King Arthur) sells a colourful range of Coffee Pod Creations jewellery.

What I love about Visit Wi******er is that they support local artists and stock an ever changing range of items.

And for those that love a bit of history, did you know that Wi******er used to be the capital of England? It’s full of history, independent shops and lovely places to visit.

So if you’re heading to Wi******er, don’t forget to pop into the helpful information centre and support local artists too 😃

🍃 Which colour would you choose?

These lightweight leaf earrings are available in a whole range of colours, so you can pick the combination that feels most like you. Every pair is handmade from upcycled coffee pods, giving new life to something that would otherwise be thrown away ♻️

One of my lovely customers, Fiona, said:
"They're so pretty. It's great being able to specify the colour of each component. I love them and receive many compliments."

This is my favourite shop in Petersfield 🙌
Not just because you'll find my jewellery there... But because I'm surrounded by an incredible collection of talented makers and artists 👩‍🎨

Not only does it have an amazing selection of one-off items, gifts and original art but they have a DIY craft section where you can sit with a cup of tea, biscuit and make ✂️ (I've learnt how to embroider!)

A huge thanks to Sarah, Sarah-Jane and George, who make it all happen and have created such a supportive community for local makers ✨
