What do we cover in our nappy changing session?

* 🧷 How to change a nappy safely: preparing everything first, cleaning the baby, putting on the fresh nappy and disposing of the dirty one.
* 🧼 Hygiene: handwashing and keeping the changing area clean.
* 🚼 Cleaning a newborn: how to clean gently, including around skin folds and the umbilical cord area.
* 👧👦 Differences between boys and girls: how cleaning is slightly different.
* 🌡️ Skin care: recognising and preventing nappy rash and when to seek advice.
* ⚠️ Safety: never leaving a baby unattended on a changing surface and keeping supplies within reach.
* 💩 What’s normal: basic information about newborn urine and stools, including what may be expected in the first few days.
* 🍼 Practical demonstrations shown in class and opportunity for you to try!
