I would like to introduce my 1st ever SJ Tailormade Ambassadors.

Leyla & Layla have been coming to design and put trust in me to bring their dream costumes to life for many years now. I have not only been so incredibly proud of their dance journey and ambition to succeed but their bond, kindness, gratefulness to others that has been fantastic to see. They are amazing role models and I am honoured that they shine out on that dance floor in my costumes.

Thank you girls for being you and keep up all your hard work. Good luck at nationals today and I look forward to hearing how you get on. I’m currently working on Ambassador goody packs for you both and look forward to designing you both a new complimentary line dance costume for the new season in January 🥰🥰

I look forward to seeing you both dance at Littledown and will be on the look out for another 2027 ambassador 🥰

Good luck to all the dancers I know competing at the Nationals competition this weekend. Having made many of the costumes and some new and some dancers it’s your final year of competing and having done your costumes and being on the journey designing and bring your costumes to life has been a big honour. It’s not just a job for me, it’s a big part of my life too. It has kept me going especially battling health issues, sitting at my machine making costumes and then seeing people’s reactions when seeing their costumes has been so rewarding and then coming to local competitions and seeing dancers on the dance floor in my costumes is so special. The bonds and friendships made along the way have been lovely and I wish you the very best of luck.

For younger dancers and new customers also best of luck this weekend. I look forward to continuing your journey and watching you grow along the way too.

Please do send me updates and any photos so I can pop an album together. Anyone looking to sell any of my costumes after nationals please take front and back photos, send them to me with price and I will pop them on here for other dance parents to contact you to buy.

As many of you maybe aware Fabricland are closing down. They have been an amazing support to us and handy having it local. The staff have been amazing in the 36 years that I’ve been going. Their head office will still be running taking mail orders so I can still get some of the stock needed. I’ve sourced many other online shops and am awaiting a large order and some sample booklets I’ve purchased with all the colours of Lycra and power stretch mesh we need for costumes so when you come to design costumes with me you will be able to look in booklets for colours you would like 🥰

I’m at the busiest time of year again, awaiting order of 100,000 crystals and other stock for new orders and looking forward to the new season of competitions and a couple of other great projects.
This last month I had to take time out for personal reasons and I thank customers for your patience and am getting back on track now. I still have space in December for orders for January but don’t leave it too long as I have lots booked in and can’t do any last minute orders for Jan/ Feb competitions.

Thank u to dancers and parents that I’ve already seen. So excited to be making your costumes and thank you for keeping my spirits high. Your children are so lovely and I love bringing their costume designs to life 🥰

Recently I have been making the most amazing costumes for nationals, shows and making dresses of girls dreams. I am being given opportunities every day and can’t wait to share a couple of new ones with you.
6 months ago I was approached by a designer from a large band at Nottinghill Carnival to make their designs for this years carnival. I got together with the designer and made 4 of her designs which were sent over to Trinidad for the photo shoot. I sit here today making their costumes and can’t believe how far I’ve come.
I can’t wait to show you all the end result soon but I shall pop some photos of the photo shoot. I hadn’t added the stones and feathers but had made all the costumes.

Along with my crazy busy build up to my daughter’s wedding I managed to make 2 prom dresses, 12 prom dress alterations, 3 wedding dress, 8 bridesmaid and 3 flower girls alterations and my mother of the bride dress. Sophie in the blue (stoned on top) and Zoe in the teal and green are the ones I made. The rest were altered 🥰 (haven’t got photos of all but welcome to add in on comments). Now onto more exciting projects which I shall tell u all about in my next post 🥰

Been abit quiet on here for the lead up to my daughter’s wedding on Saturday. Had the most amazing day and was the most magical day ever.

I made my mother of the bride dress and unfortunately had to change it last minute due to a big endometriosis flare up which cause my tummy to swell up 4 inches. Had to ditch the tight fitting fish tail bottom of dress for a more comfortable loose bottom of the dress but it all turned out fine, I was comfortable and had lots of lovely compliments on the dress. Thank goodness I could work my magic last minute when the swelling occurred.

I’m taking a couple of days to get back to normality, unpack (was away for the wedding since Thursday) and get my house in order and then I’m back on my machines working my magic on lots of upcoming items which I’m really excited for. I also altered and made a lot of prom dresses which I need to post in here so if you can all private message me photos of them I will include them in the post aswell.
