From a stint of grunt work at I.O.W festival as stores deliveries it has been nice to step back into a technical role installing information screens around the Goodwood estate, in preparation for the prestigious Festival of Speed.

Behind the scenes there is like most sites, a lot of work happening but all the more interesting at Goodwood given opulent location and snippets of history. A pristine vintage Wurlitzer juke box was being installed beside me which once belonged to Lotus mechanic Herbie Blash. The cars are another story; well worth the ticket to go and see!

Flight case loading / unload. Installing screens, fitting fixtures and wiring. Installing radio repeaters and ariel systems. Snag & tidy.

Goodwood Festival of Speed

What a day at our first Voodoo festival in Chichester. The stage production was well planned for a singular all dayer, and the colourful crowd capacity whilst bustling never felt overwhelming with the spacious layout. For us, it was fantastic to set up the shop by the illustrious Sterns tent spinning classic hardcore and house. RC1 Sound stacks kept the tunes pumping around the five stages; the main arena coming alive with L.E.D screens courtesy of Linear Existence.

All in all, Voodoo was a vibe.

The Isle of Wight Festival really surpassed all expectations, ticking the boxes for some incredible acts off the to be seen list. Highlights included Wet Leg, The S*x Pistols, the Cirque de la Quirk stage, and the 90's indie / Britpop hour at the Hipshaker tent. The Cure closing on Sunday tops favourite, Robert Smith claiming definitive stage presence.

No, the boutique was not there as a shop this year, but could it pop up another time? We like to think so. Watch this space!

Next Stop for trading: Voodoo festival in Chichester on the 27th of June. Five stages and live paint jam in effect for this all day event.

I.O.W Festival build: Delivering furnishings and supplies around the site, to production offices, security, welfare and on site hospital. Materials were purchased for construction crews and dropped to location. Relaying messages and planning routes helped logistical efficiency. I helped pack down Heras fencing, and removed scrimming.
