I make cute, colourful and quirky handmade gifts with comics, Lego and crochet 🧶🦸🏻‍♀️ I believe in having products that are unique and a little different.

Handmade Moments are a small independent company based in the west of Scotland. I believe in the handmade and the handcrafted and all the love that goes into making a piece from scratch. I design and make all our products using resources around me. I use vintage buttons, some of which are older than me! I use scraps of fabric I have accumulated over the years as well as fabrics I find at vintage a

nd craft fairs around Glasgow. Other materials are sourced from mainly Scottish independent companies, but always from UK companies.

Helloo, well I was sitting outside working on a commission until the rain had other ideas 😏 I'm now comfy on the sofa enjoying a cup of Loose Leaf Tea Edinburgh Dusk in my Mull Pottery Studio mug, using Mull Tea Company fillable tea bags 😊
In the evenings I've been back to cross stitch and did this wee puffin while on Mull, it was originally purchased from the Hebridean Whale Dolphin Trust in Tobermory last year. I'm looking forward to doing my new LEGO set, maybe at the weekend?

Good morning! I'm back from a lovely holiday on the Isle of Mull with Mr HM, beautiful scenery, gorgeous beaches and waters, and a wonderful array of wildlife including otters, white tailed eagles (sea eagles), butterflies and moths. Lots of local businesses were visited and/or purchased from including The Boathouse Ulva (with Grampa the dog), Mull Pottery Studio, Iona Wool, Isle of Mull Seafood, Isle Of Mull Soap Co. Ltd, Tackle and Books Tobermory, and kilticoo
We came back to a garden in bloom and I'm now sitting enjoying it with a coffee on the back step and starting a new commission with this gorgeous wool from SIRDAR.
I'll also be back at Scottish Arts & Crafts Fair on the 4th July and looking forward to seeing you there 😊

If you ever visit my office/creative space, you'll see it's full of colour and collected pieces. Some are gifts (like the Tomte in the 1st photo), and some are from small businesses like Jennalexcrafts, AWReid.Art, Felted Fur and Feathers, Oscar Cat Creations, East End Press, and Karen Hanvidge Ceramics. The Care Bears are the original figures from the 80s that I've collected over the last few years. I also love LEGO and have a lot more than in these photos!

Oh it's fab being able to wear floaty dresses and no tights! (Although I do still love my chub rubs!)
A great wee knit and knatter this morning at and then popping into the lovely shop across from Paisley Abbey. She has a gorgeous range of jewellery and does commissions too. 😍

Helloo, I'm all peopled out after today's Women in Business networking event in the Russell Institute in Paisley with . It's a stunning old building and one I've not been inside of for many years! It was lovely to catch up with and and meet too.
After spotting some of ._ artwork, I came home to my delivery from of the Sophie's Universe blanket pattern by , it's an actual book! Think it may take me a while to do.....

Helloo 👋🏻 it's Mental Health Week this week and as a few of you will know, I suffer from chronic depression and have days where I struggle to properly function. The last few weeks have been especially tough, physically, mentally and emotionally and I feel I'm still trying to get back to an even keel.
Just doing a small thing I enjoy like reading, going for a bath, crochet (something for me not a commission!), or being in nature really helps me. I had a lovely walk on Friday after dropping off stock to from the Botanic Gardens, along the River Kelvin walkway to and park, last week I was down in Lochwinnoch at the .lochwinnoch.
I offer a range of emotional support products including pocket hugs, positive potatoes and emotional support chicken keyrings and this week there is 20% off all orders of these products 😊
Remember, self care isn't selfish and your mental and emotional health is just as important as your physical health.

Currently enjoying a wee trip to sunny Gourock with Mr HM and popped into McGilps to see and Miss Molly (and Alan too of course 😄), we even managed to catch the farmer's market and say hello to too 😊

Happy birthday to Mr HM! 🎂
He is the mainly unseen part of Handmade Moments, you may only see him when he drops me off and picks me back up at fairs but without his support I wouldn't be able to do this full time.
Thanks for being the best husband a girl could wish for 🥰😘
