If this is your first encounter with me… hi, I’m Teigan. 🤍

I’m a mum of two. I’m a little chaotic, very honest, very transparent, and I definitely don’t have my s*it together. 😂

The Nook&Play wasn’t a childhood dream. In fact, at the start of this year I had absolutely no idea it was even going to exist.

For so long, I felt lost. The only thing I ever knew for certain was that I wanted to be a mum. I never really found a job I loved, and the thought of going back into employment just didn’t feel right.

Then life took me somewhere I never expected.

The Nook&Play happened.

From the very beginning, it’s just felt right. Not easy—far from it—but right. Every challenge, every late night, every bit of self-doubt has been worth it because this genuinely feels like what I was meant to do.

So if you’re feeling a little lost, like you don’t quite know where you’re heading or everyone else has it figured out… they probably don’t. Keep going. Your path doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s, and sometimes the best things are the ones you never planned.

Now let me tell you how The Nook&Play came to be… 🤍 x

Tomorrow’s Mother’s Meeting is on from 9:30–11:00 🫶🏻

I’m so happy to say that at Friday’s Mother’s Meeting, a genuine friendship was made. 🥹 The mums got chatting, swapped numbers and even made a group chat afterwards.

That’s exactly why I wanted to create these sessions. Motherhood can feel lonely sometimes, and having people who just get it can make all the difference.

So if you’ve been thinking about coming along but haven’t quite plucked up the courage yet, this is your sign. We’d love to have you. 💛

Being a brand new business, it’s all about figuring out what works best for us and for you. Those of you who’ve visited will know our downstairs space can get a little cosy at times, so I’ve tweaked the session times to help spread things out and make your visits even more enjoyable.

I’ll also be giving the space a little shuffle around when I’m back from holiday.

The fact we even need to do this is honestly amazing because it shows just how busy you’ve kept us. Thank you. 🤍

From Wednesday 16th July, our new schedule will be:

Upstairs Role Play:

✨9:30am – 11:00am

✨11:15am – 12:45pm

✨1:30pm – 3:00pm

✨3:30pm – 5:00pm (Tuesdays & Thursdays only)

As always, your Storybook Role Play ticket also includes up to 45 minutes in our café afterwards (subject to availability), so there’s still plenty of time for a coffee and a bite to eat before heading home.

Nook&Natter:

✨9:30am – 11:00am

✨1:30pm – 3:00pm

Mother’s Meeting

💗Tuesdays: 9:30am – 11:00am

💗Fridays: 1:30pm – 3:00pm

If you’re already booked on Monday or Tuesday, don’t worry—your bookings haven’t changed. If you’re booked onto Thursday’s Nook&Natter, your booking hasn’t changed either.

Just a friendly reminder to please make sure you close the main entrance door behind you when you come in. 💛

This is really important for everyone’s safety. If the main door is left open and a child manages to get through the internal door, it could create a serious safety risk.

We’d really appreciate everyone being mindful of this. We’ll also be putting up signs as an extra reminder.

A gentle support group for parents who have experienced the loss of a baby.

Here I go being vulnerable again, but before anything, I’m a mum. My journey into motherhood began in 2019 when I gave birth to my first son, Romeo.

Although he isn’t here for me to hold, he’ll always be my first baby.

The grief that follows baby loss is something that stays with you. While life moves forward, the love you have for your baby never changes. I know how lonely that journey can feel, and how comforting it is to be with people who simply understand.

That’s why I’ve created Held in Our Hearts.

This isn’t counselling or therapy. I am by no means a professional. It’s simply a safe space to come together with other parents who have experienced baby loss—to talk if you want to, to listen if you don’t, and to remember our babies without judgement.

Whether your loss was recent or many years ago, you are welcome here.

O N E M O N T H ✅✨

Yesterday marked one whole month since we opened our doors to you all… and what a month it’s been. 🥹

We have had 669 spaces attended. Not including walk ins. That is mind blowing.

What’s even more wild is we’ve gone through 24kg of coffee beans!!

All I can say is thank you. Thank you for every booking, every coffee, every recommendation, every kind word and every little bit of support. Watching your little ones make memories in our space has honestly been everything I hoped for and so much more.

Also… we’re just 17 followers away from 2,000!!What the hell?! Can’t wait to gift one of you 🥹
