An outstanding and beautifully restored set of six authentic Mid-Century dining chairs by the highly regarded Glasgow of Morris, dating from the 1960s. Comprising four dining chairs and two elegant carver chairs, this exceptional set perfectly captures the clean lines, craftsmanship and understated sophistication that defined British furniture design during the mid-century era.
Lovingly restored in our workshop, each chair has been carefully refinished to bring out the rich natural beauty of the solid teak, while remaining true to its original character. The warm honey-brown tones of the teak display a wonderful depth of grain, complemented by the gently tapered legs and beautifully proportioned, high ladder-back design. The tall backs feature four slender vertical splats which create an elegant silhouette, offering both visual lightness and excellent support.
The two matching carver chairs add a touch of distinction to the set. Their gracefully sculpted teak arms flow effortlessly from the back uprights, providing additional comfort while maintaining the refined mid-century aesthetic. Whether placed at the heads of a dining table or used as occasional chairs elsewhere in the home, they make a striking statement.
The seats have been professionally reupholstered by ourselves in a premium-quality contemporary upholstery fabric featuring a stylish geometric pattern in warm mustard yellow, soft grey, taupe and ivory.
