Introducing the Masari Leather Wallet 🌿

At Abú Wear, we strive to be a platform for cultural expression, and a voice for artisans whose work tells the story of resistance and resilience. Today, we are proud to introduce the Masari Leather Wallet, a piece that embodies the rich heritage of Hebron’s leather craftsmanship, passed down through generations.

Handcrafted using traditional methods that date back to the Canaanites, the Masari Wallet is made from 100% full grain leather. In Hebron, leather production isn’t just a trade – it’s an art form. Local tanneries use natural, sustainable materials like oak bark and sumac in the tanning process, ensuring each piece carries the unique touch of Palestinian history and craftsmanship.

It represents a vital connection to the artisans of Hebron who, despite economic hardship and political challenges, continue to practice their craft with pride. By choosing this wallet, you aren’t just supporting their artistry – you are helping to preserve a heritage that is at risk of fading away.

We believe in the power of cultural preservation through solidarity. We stand alongside Palestinian artisans, working hand in hand to ensure their stories, traditions, and incredible craftsmanship are shared with the world. The Masari Wallet is a reminder that each piece created is a symbol of resilience, a celebration of culture, and a commitment to enduring artistry.

When you carry the Masari Leather Wallet, you carry a piece of Palestine with you – a piece of its people, its history, and its future. This is more than just a wallet – it’s a movement to keep Palestinian craftsmanship alive, ensuring that future generations can continue to thrive through their art.

Join us in celebrating this timeless craft. Together, we can help protect and uplift the artisans of Palestine, one beautiful piece at a time.

🇵🇸NEW PRODUCT ACCOUNCEMENT🇵🇸

🌊River & Sea Earrings🌊

At Abú Wear, we believe that every piece of art tells a story – and the River & Sea Earrings are no exception. Handcrafted from 925 Silver in a historic jewellery workshop in Bethlehem, these earrings are a tribute to the deep-rooted heritage and spirit of coexistence that once flourished in Palestine, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.

Crafted with 925 silver in a historic workshop in Bethlehem that employs 15 Palestinian artisans from Jerusalem, Gaza and the West bank – representing Muslim, Christian, Arab, and Armenian communities – this workshop has been owned by an Armenian Palestinian family for generations. Through the Sumud Stories™ initiative, we are honoured to collaborate with artisans whose work embodies the rich cultural diversity and resilience of historical Palestine.

These earrings represent more than just beautiful craftsmanship. They are a powerful symbol of the ongoing struggle for freedom, equality, and dignity for all people. By wearing the River & Sea Earrings, you stand in solidarity with a vision of a future where universal human rights are upheld, and the dream of a free Palestine lives on.

Handmade with love. Crafted with purpose. Worn with pride.

From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free. 🇵🇸

🌍Together, We Are Abú 🌍

We are proud to announce that a small batch of our authentic Hirbawi kufiyas will be ready for shipping starting next Monday! 🇵🇸

We’ve been in constant contact with the Hirbawi factory and, and out of respect for their efforts and challenges, we will be halting new preorders. Our capacity for customer service is reserved for addressing administrative matters, so we kindly ask for your patience.

The Hirbawi factory are navigating significant challenges, and through each of those, we stand in solidarity.

We will not allocate resources to address demands for a timeline or those who attempt to pressure us. We have reiterated this many times, however we have been bombarded with many similar requests which bury the critical matters that we need to tend to.

Over the past three and a half years, we’ve built a reputation based on our values, and we will not bow to those who seek to undermine that. Those who assumed so much about our business, about the logistics, about the supply chain, and much more, in their ignorance they postulate to support us and the Hirbawi yet all that was ever asked for after ordering was patience.

Yet with the escalating negative commenting and google/trustpilot reviews to try and disrupt both Abú Wear and by extension, the global distribution of the Hirbawi factory, is disappointing, in particular where some have claimed to have made the effort to work around Hirbawi’s one per person rule, and then proceed to boast to us that they've secured multiple (in some places double digits to one person) from Hirbawi, which robs many of you the opportunity to own an authentic Hirbawi Kufiya, and Abú Wear of the restock.

Abú Wear is not only a business; we are a global community, a movement, working together to make a meaningful impact. We are together in mind and spirit, united in our mission to preserve and honour cultural heritage. We will be heard, and we stand strong—because we know that with your support from all around the world we will not be swayed or influenced by negative forces, and above all else, we are not alone.

Together, we are Abú.

I was deeply honoured to have been invited to Áras an Uachtaráin to meet President Michael D. Higgins last week. 🙌🇮🇪

Presenting the Saoirse Kufiya, a symbol of resistance and solidarity to President Higgins was a significant milestone, a powerful representation of what our global Abú community stands for and has achieved through our actions. It symbolises our collective defiance against apartheid and genocide, showcasing our global support for the Palestinian people and our unwavering commitment to human rights and cultural preservation.

Together, we are carving out our place in history, bridging the enduring struggles and indomitable spirits of Ireland, Palestine, and all those around the would resisting oppression.

We're just getting started.

Go raibh maith agaibh go léir! 💚

As we stand in solidarity with those in Palestine facing the brutality of the Israeli Apartheid regime, it's moments like these that remind us of the collective power of our community. I am humbled to share that, thanks to the unwavering support and compassion of the global Abú Wear family, we've been able to extend our hand in solidarity to those who need it most by directing our aid through organizations dedicated to making a tangible difference, and to assist families trapped in Gaza.

Together, we've contributed:
- £2000 to Medical Aid for Palestinians, providing vital healthcare on the ground amidst the ongoing crisis
- £1450 in aid to assist Palestinian families escaping the hardships of Gaza
- £1000 each to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), UNRWA, and UNICEF, supporting global efforts in humanitarian aid and child welfare
- £1000 towards assisting local activist group IPSC Belfast in their procurement of a new speaker system for Palestine solidarity rallies.

These acts of giving and support reflects not just on us as a small business, but on each and every one of you who stands with us. Your belief in our mission fuels our efforts and amplifies our impact. Together, we have forged a global movement deeply anchored in the values of resistance, resilience, and the fundamental inherent right to self-determination.

Our contributions are a testament to what we can achieve as a collective. Let us celebrate the spirit of resistance of the Palestinian people, their stories woven into each kufiya, and their resilience and bravery to never give up hope in the face of the savage inhuman barbarity commited by the Israeli apartheid regime.

To our customers, partners, and the entire Abú Wear community - this is your achievement. Your support is the cornerstone of our mission. Let's keep this spirit alive, championing change and making a difference, one act of kindness at a time.

Our kufiya restock is en route.

Note that there are thousands of preorders, we will be working through them as fast as we can.

Once we have shipped the orders that have kufiyas allocated (I.e the design is in stock as part of this batch and is ready for dispatch), we will release the surplus stock for purchase on the website (if they're not all preordered already!)

We estimate the delivery of kufiyas to arrive early next week and are currently communicating with our partners regarding the subsequent batches and the timelines for them.

As we have a significantly large volume of kufiyas preordered for the factory to produce, all preorders will be addressed as the kufiya comes into stock and your order number is next for fulfillment, If you request to swap out for a surplus kufiya we will be happy to accommodate where possible.

Please keep in mind that it takes 1 hour to make a kufiya and with the Israeli occupation enforcing an embargo on the west bank, disrupting everyday life and causing issues with workers making it to the factory, supplies to make the kufiyas, etc. this batch, and every batch of kufiyas that comes out of the factory is not only a statement, but act of valour, demonstrating the resilience of the Palestinian people in the face of the modern day israeli apartheid regime.

Israel is in control of over 2 million Palestinian people in Gaza, since yesterday they have completely cut off water, electric and food supplies (check my stories for updates on what is happening right now)

Gaza is an open air prison, the exits via land, air & sea are monitored by heavily armed Israeli occupation forces.

Every single day Palestinians lose their lives are & subject to poor living conditions,

“Nakba 1948” 75 years ago-

Israeli settlers moved into the land and forced 750,000 Palestinians out of their homes, now over 70% of Palestinian people live in refugee camps unable to leave & with limited water & energy supply, under constant surveillance.

Presenting the Hirbawi “Jenin” Kufiya

“The Jenin Kufiya is symbolic of the indomitable spirit of this vibrant city,

This Kufiya reflects the unwavering resilience and active resistance of the Jenin community, it’s a powerful tribute to the heritage and enduring spirit of the Palestinian people.”

So far this year in the occupied West Bank there has been a total of 153 people murdered including 26 children. This number already surpasses the total number of deaths compared to 2022. In 2023, we've witnessed a disturbing surge in incursions by the IOF in the Jenin camp.

Stand with Jenin ✊🏾, Stand with Palestine 🇵🇸.
