I made these 2 tabletop mannequins for a lovely local boutique. They are now available to buy as ‘pre loved’ as I bought them back when the boutique closed. They had been so well looked after! I made these mannequins in the style of original antique French Stockman tabletop mannequins and a wood turner made the stands and finials for me to replicate the look as closely as possible. So here are the head covers for the Somerset House Exhibition. Really pleased with how they turned out and the seam line placements. The fabric is a grey smooth stretch velvet which was used inside out. The back of the fabric was the perfect shade of grey and the velvet on the inside gave the cover a bit of padding, so win, win 👍 Loved this project, pictures of the exhibition to follow … ❤️

A couple of months ago I was tasked with making covers for a large number of mannequin torsos and heads for Somerset House for an upcoming exhibition. They all needed to be a light grey stretch fabric and a super fit. Lots of measurements came my way, along with 5 heads in the post! 🤭

The new colours for my replacement mannequin covers are cut and ready to sew up. I was ordering some fabric for a customer the other day and started browsing, I know, fatal! So of course I couldn’t resist some gorgeous crushed velvet colours too, to add to the collection. Can’t wait for the delivery and to get started on them. Lots of variety to spruce up your mannequin! 🤩

The older child mannequin is completed. I always try and keep the seam lines the same as the vintage originals and so designed the pattern with the pointed dip at the front and back. It takes more time, but definitely worth it I think ❤️ This little lady is now safely delivered and I can’t wait to see pictures of her in her new home
