I wish you could feel how soft and fluffy these bunny baskets are! As a former bun mum, I can definitely say they're as soft as the real thing but they won't dig up your lawn, and you and your kids can fill them with treasure - of the edible or non-edible variety!

A "who am I" post for a new month!

I'm Mary, a slightly frazzled mum of three, who loves kids who get muddy, and kids who don't, sewing, pretty fabrics, and wellies.

I'm sentimental AND sensible. I'm incurably nosey so I want to know all the stories that get woven into our clothes and our kids' clothes, whether that's the babygrow they wore home from hospital, or the birthday jumpers that mark each passing year.

I've got my kids' baby clothes up in the loft, waiting to have something done with them. I know lots of other people have too! Give me a follow if that's you 😊

You can order one of my super soft hoodies or sweatshirts, or you can send me a jumper you already own. I love working with pre loved clothes, if that's your thing 💚

I'll message you with my address and a little advice about which clothes, fabrics and prints work best. You can ask me as many questions as you like!

If you're local to north Staffordshire then we can work out dropping off, or picking up, if that's easier than posting.

Within three weeks of receiving your parcel, I'll send you your new favourite jumper!

I learned a LOT in the second half of 2025. I know what I'd like to keep doing in 2026, and I'm thinking about what I'd like to change or do differently. I know I want to give growing this little business a really good shot.

I love working with beautiful Liberty fabrics and those cosy little sweatshirts. I adore learning about my customers' memories, that are woven into their babies' tiny clothes, and getting those memories out of attics and back into everyday life. I like the flexibility that I have at the moment, so I can (try to) work around what my kids need.

And I love being part of the small business community that exists on here and on our local high streets ❤️

So last summer I started Jessie and Dot. I've been sewing since I was a little girl - I had skills and a lot of Liberty fabric and a love for seeing my creations on mine and my friends' kids. As my last baby got bigger, I'd also been thinking about what to do with all the baby clothes I couldn't get rid of ❤️

I've wanted to sell the things I've made since I was a teenager and so I finally went for it with an offering of beautifully personalised Liberty print jumpers, tops and soft toys plus keepsake hoodies for grown ups.

I've had to learn a lot of new stuff, very quickly! But I've loved sending unique, hand sewn garments and toys out to be loved by families all over the UK.
